Adverse reaction of AAPSU to conservation effort ‘bewildering’: NSCN (IM)

Dimapur, July 2 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) today expressed bewilderment at what it termed as the adverse reaction of the All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) to the “good work initiated by the Wangcho Region of NSCN/GPRN to preserve the natural habitat and ecology of both wildlife and aquatic systems within the region in Arunachal Pradesh.”
According to a press release from the MIP NSCN (IM), the apex students’ body of Arunachal Pradesh is acting in defiance when it showed “concern for the need of wildlife conservation and to put a stop to reckless exploitation that caused the habitats of wildlife including aquatic to be destroyed.” This is tantamount to challenging the geopolitical rights of the Nagas as defined by the historical and political rights of the Nagas, defended by the movement spearheaded by NSCN (IM), the release maintained.
The NSCN (IM) also stated that the AAPSU would be held accountable for what it considered an ‘insult’ to its Wangcho Region and “deliberately standing up against NSCN/GPRN at the behest of the forces and agencies determined to obliterate the rights of the Nagas from Arunachal Pradesh.”
