Angami Women Org informs

Kohima, July 3 (MExN): The Angami Women Organisation (AWO) has informed all concerned that the financial assistance to the destitute woman from the Department of Women Resource Development for the year 2022-2023 will be disbursed from the AWO Ki, Kohima from July 10 to 15 between 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Therefore, all beneficiaries have been requested to come with their payment book issued by the Department.

Enrolment of allied health & healthcare professionals

KOHIMA, JULY 3 (MExN): The Nagaland State Allied Healthcare Council (NSAHC) was constituted by Government of Nagaland as per the provisions of National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions Act, 2021. According to a DIPR report, the Act is to provide for regulation and maintenance of standards of education and services by allied and healthcare professionals, assessment of institutions, maintenance of a Central Register and State Register and creation of a system to improve access, research and development and adoption of latest scientific advancement and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. As mandated by the Act, all allied and healthcare professionals in the State have been directed to enroll with the state council by submitting the duly filled enrolment form to the NSAHC on or before July 15.

Workshop on organic farming at Shamator

SHAMATOR, JULY 3 (MExN): A workshop on Organic Farming under Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North Eastern Region (MOVCDNER) was organised by the Department of Agriculture on June 3 at District Agriculture Office, Shamator, a DIPR report stated.  The programme was graced by Deputy Commissioner & Chairman of MOVCDNER Shamator, C Chingyak Konyak. The workshop was attended by all the DAO staffs and more than 50 farmers from Shamator district.

NSCN/GPRN (Niki) condoles

Dimapur, July 3 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN (Niki) has condoled the passing away of Lieutenant (posthumous) Shetoi Yeptho of Surumi village under Sumi Region on July 2 in Myanmar occupied Naga Lands. He was serving under the Eastern Command. He served the Naga Nation with dedication, sincerity and loyalty. In recognition of the service rendered towards the Naga Nation, 2nd Lieutenant Shetoi Yeptho, bearing Army No-21083 has been posthumously bestowed the rank of Lieutenant. “Selfless service rendered by him for the cause of the Naga nation shall always be cherished and recorded in the pages of Naga history,” the MIP, NSCN/GPRN (Niki) stated in its press release while conveying condolences to the family of the departed soul. 

DC Tuensang issues travel advisory

Tuensang, July 3 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang, A Zibenthung Kithan has notified that in view of the blockage of National Highway 202 due to the incessant rains resulting in the landslides of road formation at km 59.900 of NH202 between Yangli and Mangaki road will be closed for restoration till further orders. Travellers from Tuensang to Kohima have been advised to take the Tuensang-Yangli-Zunheboto-Kohima route while travellers (Light Motor Vehicle) Mokokchung are advised to take the Tuensang-Longleng-Changtongya-Mokokchung route and vice versa. The DC Tuensang further notified that the movement of heavy vehicles will remain restricted along the Tuensang-Longleng road.

GPRN/NSCN (U) ‘Tikhir Region’ commits to serve

Dimapur, July 3 (MExN): The Tikhir ‘national workers’ of GPRN/NSCN (U) have appreciated the collective leadership for recognition of ‘Tikhir Region’ as a separate administrative constituent under the banner of GPRN/NSCN (U) on June 2. The Tikhir ‘national workers’ of GPRN/NSCN (U) through the MIP press release further declared their “sincere commitment to serve the Naga nation under the collective leadership of President Gen (Rtd) MB Neokpao Konyak and Ato Kilonser Alezo Venuh.”

NMA lauds elected women councillors

Kohima, July 3 (MExN): The Naga Mothers Association (NMA) has congratulated all the elected women councillors and unopposed councillors of the three municipalities and town councils in Nagaland who have created history on June 26 after a gap of 20 plus years in Nagaland. The NMA in a press release expressed hope “they give their best towards the development of their towns with integrity and commitment. We wish them all the successful tenure as the first batch of elected women councillors in the State.”
