NSCN/GPRN (Khango) to check immoral and illegal activities

Dimapur, June 12 (MExN): In view of the numerous complaints received from the public, the Kilo (Home) Ministry NSCN/GPRN (Khango) on Monday informed that all forms of immoral and illegal activities will be checked and controlled. Bootleggers/ booze joint have been directed to shut down their shop before 10:00 pm; racketeering creating nuisance/disturbance in public places cannot be tolerated, failing which strict action would be taken against the defaulters, stated a prelease issued by MIP, NSCN/GPRN (Khango). It also directed the Crime Monitoring Cell (CMC) staffs to monitor regularly and defaulters would be liable for strict action. “This Ahza is in view to avoid unwanted consequences/activities and to maintain peaceful atmosphere and sought for co-operation from all the concerned,” it stated. 

NSCN (IM) condole 

Dimapur, June 12 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has condoled the demise of Lieut Col Retd Vareso Machinao, Member, Steering Committee, NSCN from Mailiang village under Wung Tangkhul region (WTR) on June 7. ‘He joined the national service in 1992. Till his last breath he stands firm for the Naga cause with unwavering spirit. The vacuum thus created will be difficult to fill. For his dedicated and sacrificial service rendered for the Naga nation his name will be recorded in the pages of the Naga history,’ MIP, NSCN (IM) stated in a condolence note. It also expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and close friends and pray that the Almighty God grant them the strength and comfort to bear the loss. ‘May the soul of Lieut Col Retd Vareso Machinao rest in eternal peace!’ it added. 

Dimapur: One body found 

Dimapur, June 12 (MExN): One unidentified dead body was found lying opposite below Flyover Blue Hill Station near PAB Dimapur. On June 11, at around 7:30 am, East Police Station received a telephonic call stating that one non-local male age around 60 yrs. was found lying in the location. Accordingly, East PS duty party went to the PO site and ascertained the dead body. ‘Inquest was conducted over the dead body and no any foul play could be established. On completion of all legal formalities, the dead body has been shifted to District Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination,’ PRO Dimapur informed. The deceased was wearing blue, red & yellow coloured checked long shirt and brown coloured long pant.
