KMC notifies hawkers, vendors

Kohima, June 19 (MExN): The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) Administrator T Lanusenla Longkumer has stated that it has been brought to the knowledge that many hawkers/vendors are not obtaining proper import permit/coupon for their business in and around Kohima. As such, any defaulter without proper import permit/coupon will be penalized with triple the amount of import permit/coupon. “This order comes into force with effect from 19 June 2023 till further order,” she stated. 

NPF Central Youth condemn vandalism of ANTA office

Kohima, June 19 (MExN): The NPF Central Youth Wing has condemned the vandalism of ANTA HQs office Kohima by some unknown miscreants on June 17 around 6:00 pm. In a condemnation note, it expressed strong dismay over the alleged “life threatening” of ANTA General Secretary, Meyieho Hibo, who is also the Secretary of the Central Youth Wing. “His life was threatened at gun point by the miscreants causing him mental trauma and created fear psychosis,” it alleged. 

The wing said that ANTA is a social service organization for the welfare of the taxi services to its people and such act of cowardice to its member deserve a strong condemnation from all quarter of life. Therefore, it urged upon the law enforcing agencies to immediately book the culprits and initiate action as per the law of the land. 

LLRPO for construction of foothill road via NEC funding  

DIMAPUR, JUNE 19 (MExN): The Lotha Lower Range Public Organisation (LLRPO) has expressed solidarity with the Nagaland Foothill Road Co-ordination Committee (NFHRCC) on their appeal made to the Nagaland government on the construction of the Trans Nagaland Highway (Foothills Road) through NEC Funding in consonance with the NLA Resolution adopted on September 22, 2022. 

The LLRPO, in a press note issued by its president T Amos Kikon and A Yansathung Jami, while appreciating the able leadership of the Chief Minister Nephiu Rio and his colleagues, assured “unconditional support to the noble initiatives and has urged upon the state government to take up the historic Naga connectivity road issue on priority and include it during the 2023-24 fiscal year.”
