Ao Senden for construction of Foothill Road under NEC

DIMAPUR, JUNE 15 (MExN): The Ao Senden has acknowledged the Nagaland Government for the resolution adopted during the 12th session of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly dated September 22, 2022 wherein the house unanimously resolved to construct the Foothill Road under the North Eastern Council. In the meantime, the Ao Senden expressed support to the appeal placed by the Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) to the Government of Nagaland to execute the project without any delay. 

Geology & Mining designates information officers

DIMAPUR, JUNE 15 (MExN): The Government of Nagaland has reconstituted and designated I. Himato Zhimomi, principal secretary as Appellate Authority (AA), Kechangulie Neinu, joint secretary as Public Information Officer (PIO), Lanuyapang & Yanithung N Nhullie, under secretaries as Assistant Public Information Officer (APIOs) for performing functions under section 5 & 19 of the Right to Information Act, 2005 (Central Act No. 22 of 2005) in respect of Geology & Mining Department with immediate effect.

DH& FW authorised to issue disability certificate

DIMAPUR, JUNE 15 (MExN): The Department of Health & Family Welfare has been designated as the competent authority for the issue of disability certificate for all purposes of employment, education and availing of all provisions given to Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) from time to time. This is in pursuance of Para-51 of the Right to Persons with Disabilities Act, 2026, and Para-16 of P&AR Department notification No. AR-3/Gen-9/97 dated 13.08.2020, a DIPR report stated. 

DMC revise rates of pork items

DIMAPUR, JUNE 15 (MExN): Taking into account the representation submitted by the Pig sellers of Dimapur and in view of the reported rise in the supply rate of pork item and after thorough examination of market rate of different location across North-eastern states, the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has revised and re-fixed the rate of pork items.
DMC, in an order, informed that henceforth, the rate of Pork (wholesale) is revised at Rs 215 per kilo (wholesale), pork (dressed) at Rs 300 per kilo and offal (head, hoof, intestine) at 260 per kilo. 
The above prescribed rate is the maximum amount fixed by DMC, which is to be followed strictly by the pork seller, the order stated. It also said the stall has to be hygienic as per the norms and the butchers have been directed to provide quality and hygienic meat to the customers. 
Failing to comply with the instruction would invite appropriate action as per provision of law, the order stated.

AKM urges contractors to complete road projects 

DIMAPUR, JUNE 15 (MExN): The Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) has appealed all contractors who are currently engaged in road projects under Mokokchung district to expedite the ongoing works and to achieve the target as assured in compliance with the Detailed Project Report (DPR) specifications. 
In a representation to the General Managers of JKM Infra works LLP, M/S.KKB Projects Pvt Ltd, Vertex Construction and Nithin Sai Construction, the AKM asked the contractors to ensure quality work and proper compliance in implementing the projects as per the specifications stipulated in DPR and complete it on the stipulated time period. 
Further, the AKM appealed to all sections of society to refrain from disruption of the developmental activities and stressed that “no amount of tax is allowed to be paid/entertained that is not permissible by law, to any communities, Naga National Groups or Government agencies with regard to construction of road within the district and therefore, cautions for any mismanagement and corruption.” The KAM assured of full co¬-operation in all ways possible for the progress and development of the district in particular and the state at large.
