
NBSE informs on CMMSF
Kohima, June 16 (MExN): Nagaland board of School Education (NBSE) has informed to all concerned that felicitation programme for the meritorious students of HSLC Examinations 2025 batch who are eligible for the Chief Minister’s Meritorious Scholarship Fellowship (CMMSF), will be held on June 18 at State Banquet Hall, Chief Minister’s Residential Complex, Kohima at 11:00 am. Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio, will grace the occasion and do the honours. The students have been requested to come to the function in the present school/institution uniform along with 1 (one) parent and be seated at the venue by 10:00 a.m. positively. All concerned were asked to give confirmation to attend the function in the Whatsapp group of CMMSF HSLC 2025 batch by June 16.
100% physical verification of pensioners: NAPD
Dimapur, June 16 (MExN): Nagaland Pensioners’ Association Dimapur (NPAD) has informed all the pensioners under its jurisdiction that 100% physical verification will be conducted by the Department of Treasuries and Account as well as Banks during September and November 2025 respectively. All those who are yet to obtain Identity Card have been requested to get registered and obtain Pensioners Identity Card-D from NPAD office, Dimapur during the office hours in order to avoid last minute rushing.
Er Pukroneizo to head state quality control board
Kohima, June 16 (MExN): The Governor of Nagaland has appointed Er Pukroneizo Kera, Rtd. Er-in-Chief, NPWD as chairman of State Quality Control Board with immediate effect.
Ar A Chenithung Lotha, Rtd Director, Urban Development and Er M Moasashi Jamir, Rtd Chief Engineer, PWD (Mech) were also appointed as members.
The Chairman and Members shall be paid a fixed honorarium of Rs 50,000 and Rs 40,000 per month.
The Chairman and Members shall be allotted vehicle for performance of official duties and an allowance of Rs 3,450 will be provided for engagement of fixed pay driver. In addition, they shall be entitled to TA/DA equivalent to Commissioner & Secretary and Secretary respectively.
The appointment is for a term of three years from date of issue or till the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.
The appointment is subject to acceptance by the concerned officers within one month.
The terms of reference of the State Quality Control Board and other service conditions shall be governed by the provisions contained in Notification of even number dated 18th March 2011 & 13th July 2011.
DoTE on counselling for direct admission
Kohima, June 16 (MExN): In pursuant to Government Administrative Approval, the Department of Technical Education (DoTE), Nagaland has informed the qualified candidates that the department will be conducting counseling for direct admission to degree or lateral entry to the private Institutions/Universities in Engineering courses, Architecture and B-Pharm on June 25, time: 10.00 AM onwards at the Government Polytechnic Kohima, towards Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima. All the interested candidates are invited to the said counseling with all necessary academic documents. The Empanelled Engineering Colleges and Universities with DTE Nagaland will conduct counseling for their respective Institutes/Universities.
32 A/C Atoizu NCP unit merges with NDPP
Zunheboto, June 16 (MExN): The 32 A/C Atoizu unit of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has severed ties with the party and merged en bloc with the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), citing irreconcilable ideological differences.
In a meeting held on May 30, the unit unanimously resolved to disassociate from the NCP, stating that their values and goals are now more closely aligned with the NDPP under the leadership of Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and party president Chingwang Konyak.
“With this merger, we reiterate our commitment to strengthen the People's Democratic Alliance (PDA) Government in the State and look forward to bring about positive change and progress for the people of Nagaland,” a statement issued by the unit said.
