DC Phek issues advisory

Phek, June 3 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner & Chairman District Disaster Management Authority Phek, Rhosietho Nguori, has issued an advisory information notice stating that due to the onset of the monsoon, occasional heavy rainfall is expected in lowlands and foothill areas of Phek district which may occur water logging, flash floods, landslides and rising water level in rivers and streams in the catchment areas. Therefore, general public are advised to refrain from venturing out to the river banks for picnic, fishing, etc. Further, all concerned Area Administrative Officers/Heads of the Departments/ Village Disaster Management Authority/Village Council Chairmen/Head GBs/ Ward Authorities are to be on standby to attend any emergencies resulting from natural calamities, disaster during the current monsoon season.

DCCI to join DMC mass social work

Dimapur, June 3 (MExN): In regard to observance of World Environment Day 2025 on June 5, DMC has announced mass social work in collaboration with civil societies across the DMC jurisdiction. To support and participate in this social work, DCCI has appealed to all the owners of the shops and business establishments to remain closed from 6:00 am to 9:00 am on June 5 and requested them to participate by cleaning their shop fronts and surroundings.

LMFN 3rd AGM today

Dimapur, June 3 (MExN): Linguistic Minority Forum of Nagaland (LMFN) has convened 3rd annual general meeting (AGM) at Hotel Jalmahal Conference Hall on June 4 (Wednesday) at 6:00 pm. All the Members and Advisors of LMFN have been informed to attend the meeting without fail.

NSCN/GPRN (Niki) terminates one

Dimapur, June 3 (MExN): NSCN/GPRN (Niki) has terminated one Tsiaratho Nyuwi of Meluri Town, from active national service on ground of “indulging in anti social activities despite repeated warning from the competent authority.” Termination order received from Ato Kilonser's officer by the MIP stated that this termination comes into force with immediate effect. In a separate order, the Ato Kilonser's office also discharged Deputy Kilonser Bitong Sangtam, Tuensang Town from the Active National Service on personal issue, MIP of NSCN/GPRN (Niki). The order stated that selfless service rendered by Bitong for the cause of the Nation will be noted and remembered in the annals of the Naga History. “He is informed to submit his discharge order to the concerned office of the National Tatar Hoho (NTH) immediately from the date of receipt of this order,” the MIP stated.
