
DMC informs on construction works
Dimapur, March 5 (MExN): Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has informed all concerned residing within DMC to obtain no objection certificate for residential as well as commercial building from the office of the Dimapur Municipal Council before starting any construction works. “Defaulters will be penalized as per the Nagaland Building By-Law 2012. This is for strict compliance,” Thungchanbemo Tungoe, Chief Executive officer, DMC informed in an official notice.
DoSE informs schools
Kohima, march 5 (MExN): The Department of School Education (DoSE), Nagaland has informed that in Pursuant to the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, heads of all Schools functioning in the State of Nagaland (Govt, Private, NBSE, CBSE, ICSE) have been directed to submit details of children’s enrolled in their schools who are wards of foreign nationals/expatriates. The information needs to be submitted in MS Excel File at the Activity Tab provided in the DoSE Nagaland Online School Monitoring Portal https://school.dosenl.in on or before March 11. For the convenience of uniformity, schools are requested to download the sample MS Excel file made available at the DoSE Nagaland Online Educational Services Portal https://dosenl.in and upload the file after entering the required data. Schools where children of foreign nationals are not enrolled need not submit any data.
One found dead in Pherima
Dimapur, March 5 (MExN): An employee at Paradise Restaurant, Pherima was found dead on Sunday. The Dy Commissioner of Police (Crime)/PRO, Dimapur informed that the police received information of the incident on March 2 and accordingly, the Police duty party visited the place of occurrence and found one non-Naga male dead body inside the hotel quarter. “Inquest was conducted over the dead and the deceased was identified as Ramesh Gogoi, a helper at the said restaurant,” the PRO stated. On completion of all legal formalities the dead body was shifted to District Hospital Dimapur Morgue for PM examination and identification. The deceased was found wearing black and white stripe shirt, blue jean long pant and maroon colour vest, it added. PAMA and PTWWS condemn
Phek, March 5 (MExN): The Phek Area Mothers’ Association (PAMA) and Phek Town Women Welfare Society (PTWWS) have condemned the recent assault on the female trainee nurse in the District Hospital, Dimapur. PAMA and PTWWS in a press release stated that such acts not only violate the dignity and safety of the victim but also tarnish the sanctity of the medical profession. Violence against women, especially in workplaces, must be condemned in the highest terms. They also urged the authorities to take immediate action to ensure justice for the victim and implement strict measures to prevent such incidents in the near future.
KANU general meeting on March 8
Karbi Anglong, March 5 (MExN): The Karbi Anglong Naga Union (KANU) has convened a general public meeting on March 8 at 9:00 am at public ground Borlengri, Karbi Anglong Assam, to deliberate some prevailing crucial issues.
