Healing & prayer crusade from March 22

KOHIMA, MARCH 20 (MExN): In accordance with the Lord’s program, the Inter-Denominational Prayer Group, Nagaland is organizing a revival and healing crusade to pray for the Nagas from March 22-23 at Kohima Local ground (Khuochiezie). The speakers for the program will be Rev Vevozo Khamo and Khrie-o Seyie. The theme for this healing service is Matthew 11:28. The organizing prayer group has cordially requested everyone to attend the service and pray for the Nagas.

Consultative meeting held ahead of Governor’s visit

LONGLENG, MARCH 20 (MExN): A consultative meeting was held in Longleng District in preparation for the upcoming visit of the Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan to Tamlu on March 25. The meeting took place at the DPDB hall in Longleng on March 20 and was chaired by ADC Longleng, Alongdhimen Jamir. During the meeting, the ADC requested that all Heads of Offices (HoDs) be present in Tamlu during the Governor’s visit. The ADC also assigned the Health, Agriculture, PHED, and Power Departments to prepare for the presentations to be made during the visit. Officers from various departments attended the meeting to discuss logistics and preparations for the visit.

NMDA mourns passing of Birender Sharma

DIMAPUR, MARCH 20 (MExN): The Nagaland Medical Dealers Association (NMDA) announced with deep sorrow the passing of veteran member Birender Sharma, a resident of Dimapur on March 20. Sharma, who had served the association with dedication for nearly two decades, held the position of Joint Secretary. His commitment and tireless contributions to the NMDA have left a lasting impact, with his colleagues and peers remembering him for his helpful nature, jovial personality and unwavering dedication to the association’s cause, a press release from the NMDA stated.  The NMDA expressed its heartfelt condolences to Sharma’s family, offering support during this difficult time. The association praised his legacy and assured that his memory would continue to inspire those he worked with. In tribute to Sharma, all medical shops in and around Dimapur will remain closed until 2 pm on March 21, 2025.
