DVC informs on land patta renewal
DIMAPUR, MARCH 22 (MExN): The Diphupar village Council (DVC) in its meeting held on March 21 has resolved to renew the land patta of Diphupar Village from April 2 to 6th April between 9AM to 4PM at the Village Council Hall.
Informing this, DVC chairman Ghuzui Shohe and secretary, Tiatemsu Ao has requested all the Patta holders of the Village to renew their land patta within the stipulated time.
Dimapur police arrest one for extortion
DIMAPUR, MARCH 22 (MExN): Dimapur Police arrested one person identified as Kaboka K. Assumi (32 yrs), Leacy NSCN/GRPN(R) while extorting money from Truck drivers along the Highway, Purana Bazaar, Dimapur. According to a press release issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, fourteen (14) no of yearly vehicle tax slips of NSCN/GRPN(R) along with cash were seized from his possession. In this connection, a case has been registered at East Police Station.
DC Chümoukedima informs on release of pending bills
Chümoukedima, March 22 (MExN): The pending bills for vehicles (Pick-up Category) utilised during Nagaland Legislative Assembly 2023 under District Election Officer (DEO) Chümoukedima District will be released on March 26 and 27. The bills will be release during office hour at office of the Deputy Commissioner, Chümoukedima, informed a notification from the DEO. All the vehicle owners or drivers are directed to produce the requisition order along with the Duty ID in original at the time of collection, it added.
DDCF meeting information
DIMAPUR, MARCH 22 (MExN): Dimapur District Citizens’ Forum (DDCF) Executive Meeting will be held on March 23 at DDCF Office, OC-8 Naga Shopping Arcade at 11 AM. All the concerned office bearers, executive members, and advisors are therefore requested to attend the meeting without fail, a press release stated.
LMFN to hold meeting with Dr Chumben Murry
Dimapur, March 22 (MExN): A joint coordination meeting of the Linguistic Minority Forum of Nagaland (LMFN) with minority community leaders and Dr Chumben Murry, intending Lok Sabha candidate from Nagaland will be held on Hotel Saramati Conference Hall Dimapur March 24, 3PM onwards. In a press release, the LMFN invited leaders and well wishers from minority community to join the meeting and address community issues in an open forum for the development and welfare of the society.
MCC enforced at Tuensang
DIMAPUR, MARCH 22 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner and DEO Tuensang, A. Zibenthung Kithan has informed all concerned that the Model Code of Conduct for guidance of all political parties and candidates come into force with immediate effect throughout Tuensang District and will be in force till the completion of election process. In this connection, the political parties, intending candidate, government department/ establishment and general public are informed to take note of the same and adhere strictly to the MCC.
Tuensang DC holds meeting with nodal officers
TUENSANG, MARCH 22 (MExN): In view of the upcoming 18th Lok Sabha Election 2024, a meeting was convened by Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Tuensang, A. Zibenthung Kithan with nodal officers at DC’s office chamber, Tuensang on March 22. During the meeting, the DC urged upon the officers to co-ordinate one another for the successful conduct of the upcoming election. He also reviewed the security arrangements, transportation, postal ballot, IT cell, media MCMC, polling training and EVM, a DIPR report stated.
