
Central Administrative Tribunal setting on March 30 and 31
Kohima, March 24 (MExN): The Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms has informed that the Circuit Court of the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Guwahati Bench is sitting in Court Room No 4 of the Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench on March 30 and 31. The Advocate/Parties appearing in person have been requested to note and extend cooperation and appear before the Circuit Court of the CAT on the above mentioned dates, it said. As per the State DIPR, the P&AR also informed that Advocate/Party/Litigants, willing to file fresh application may do so during the Circuit Court.
NLA Speaker mourns demise of YM Yollow
Dimapur, March 24 (MExN): The NLA Speaker Sharingain Longkumer condoled the demise of YM Yollow Konyak, former Minister of Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) who passed away on March 22 in New Delhi after a prolonged illness. YM Yollow became a Member to the 12th NLA in 2013 from 42-Wakching Assembly Constituency and appointed as Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture. He was again re-elected to the 13th NLA in 2018 and subsequently appointed as Minister of Environment, Forests & Climate Change. “He served to the people as a politician and social worker-, for the cause of the people will always be cherished. He was admired by all for his courage, conviction, dynamism, wisdom and his bold administration. His contributions have brightened the lives of many people of the state,” the speaker said in a condolence message.
NSCN-K (Niki Group) discharge three from service
Dimapur, March 24 (MExN): The Ministry of Home Affairs, NSCN-K (Niki Group) has discharged two cadres on ‘medical grounds,’ In a press release, it stated that Mughakato Shohe, Khapur, under UT and W Yongkong Choba, Leacy have been discharged from active national service on medical grounds. “Separate discharge orders issued from the office of Secretary, Home Affairs on March 23rd, 2023 stated that the orders come into effect with immediate effect,” it stated.
Meanwhile, the Central Secretariat, NSCN-K (Niki Group) has discharged Shikaho Swu, Sectional Officer from the active national service with effect from March 23. “A discharge order issued by Inovi Naga, Secretary, GPRN stated that the government deeply appreciates his contribution made to the cause of Naga political struggle and stared his contribution shall always be remembered and recorded in the annals of the Naga history,” the MIP stated in a press release.
