AHoDs & HoDs Meeting today 

Kohima, March 17 (MExN): A meeting of the Administrative Heads of Department and Heads of Department has been convened on March 18 at 1:00 pm in the Secretariat Conference Hall, Kohima. Agenda items of the meeting: Review of the agendas of the last meeting; Preparation for hosting the G20 Meeting; Assembly session; any other agenda with the permission of the Chair. All AHODs and HoDs have been informed to make it convenient to attend the meeting

68th Naga National Republic Day observance 

Dimapur, March 17 (MExN): The Naga National Council (Parent Body) has requested all the Naga people far and near in the Homeland to observe and celebrate the 68th Naga National Republic Day on March 22 ‘as this is our historical and political right.’ Information & Publicity Wing, NNC (Parent Body) in a press release stated that “at this juncture, we are in a crucial transition of our political struggle as a people and nation, and therefore observing this National Day serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by our people for freedom.” Therefore, all the Naga people in the Homeland should observe in prayer and petition to our Living God for freedom, it reiterated. The NNC (Parent Body) has also directed all the regional and sub-regional councils to observe and celebrate this Day in their respective regions. 

IRCSN elect Chair of General Secretary

Kohima, March 17 (MExN): The Managing Committee of the Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland State Branch (IRCSN) in its emergency meeting on March 1 elected Alkale V Khamo to the Chair of the General Secretary, IRCSN for the tenure 2023-2026, with the approval of the Governor of Nagaland and President, IRCSN. This was stated in a press release issue by Abeni TCK, Chairperson, IRCSN.

KMC informs

Kohima, March 17 (MExN): In pursuance of the minutes of meeting held on March 9 at Deputy Commissioner office, Kohima, the Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) called for compliance of all those undertaking construction or buildings within the municipality of Kohima to ensure that proper safety measures are put in place and that the under- construction buildings are properly covered with green mesh on or before March 25, ‘failing which penalty will be imposed on defaulters.’ This was stated in a release issued by KMC Administrator, T Lanusenla Longkumer.

NNC/FGN authority meeting on March 27

Dimapur, March 17 (MExN): The NNC/FGN authority monthly meeting will be held at TPC, Kohima on March 27. All the eligible central authorities, regional authorities and eligible high ranking Naga Army officers of the NNC/FGN have been requested to attend the meeting with requisite agendas, Capt (Rtd) Yirei Longleng, Rali Wali, Kilonser FGN stated in a press release. Further, it has informed all Regional Midan Peyus, FGN, in connection with the Formal information dated 26th September, 2022 to submit the Atrocity Report on March 27 as directed earlier September 26, 2022. 

PDA Legislature Party members meeting 

Kohima, March 17 (MExN): In view of the 1st session of the Fourteenth Nagaland Legislative Assembly which is scheduled to begin from March 20, all the members of the Legislature Party of the People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) are informed that a meeting will be held on March 18 at 5.00 pm in the Conference Room of the Chief Minister's Residential Complex Kohima, to discuss the agendas before the Assembly Session and also other related matters. The members have been requested to attend the meeting.

DC Zbto informs on site patta

Zunheboto, March 17 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mail, IAS has informed all the site patta holders under Zunheboto town to renew their site patta on or before March 31 without fail. The DC has cautioned that those failing to do so will result in cancellation of their site patta.

NMOPS team visits Nagaland for OPS movement

Kohima, March 17 (MExN): A delegation of National Movement for Old Pension Scheme (NMOPS) under the leadership of Dr Manjeet Singh Patel from Delhi today met Moatoshi Longkumer, advisor, labour, employment & skill development and excise at Dimapur on restoration of old pension scheme for Nagaland's New Pension Scheme employees. Patel requested the later to take cognizance on this issue for old age social income security of employees after retirement “because new pension scheme is incompatible to provide this security.” In Nagaland also, Confederation of All Nagaland State Services Employees Association (CANSSEA) has stated a dharna at Secretariat, Kohima on March 14 and demanded old pension scheme in place of NPS, according to a release received here today. Patel also said that his delegation had a meeting with CANSSEA yesterday at Eden Hotel Kohima for joining hands with NMOPS against NPS on national level. CANSSEA President, Dr Ilang with his team assured to fight jointly against NPS at national level. Dr Vijay Tiwari and Dr Vishnu Pandey were also present in this delegation of NMOPS from Delhi.

Landowners Pattadars write to DC Dimapur 

Dimapur, March 17 (MExN): While appreciating the district administration and the defense for the progress made by giving approval to joint survey maps done in 2019, the Landowners Pattadars, Dimapur on Friday has requested the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur to “submit copies of Jamabandi of surveyed land to the Defense Estate/116 Engineer Regiment, Rangapahar at the earliest for further necessary action.” K Thong, President of Landowners Pattadars, Dimapur in a representation addressed to the DC Dimapur stated that the land has been already allotted to Assam Rifles at Shokuvi to vacate pockets of land occupied by them in Dimapur town. In this connection, the landowners have requested the DC to do the needful and hand over the same to the landowners/pattadars.
