Nagaland’s eight apex tribal hohos to hold meeting in Dimapur

Dimapur, March 3 (MExN): The eight apex tribal hohos of Nagaland namely, Angami Public Organisation, Ao Senden, Chakhesang Public Organisation, Lotha Hoho, Pochury Hoho, Rengma Hoho, Sümi Hoho, and Nagaland Zeliang People's Organisation will be holding a meeting on March 8 (11:00 AM) at the Tourist Lodge, Dimapur. Further the invitation has been extended to the President and office bearers of the Nagaland Tribes Council to “discuss on formation of a unified Nagaland Tribal Body,” informed its sessional chairman, Razouvotuo Chatsu and sessional secretary, Dr Vihuto Assumi.  

41st AGOK general conference to be held on MARCH 7

Dimapur, March 3 (MExN): The 41st General Conference of the AngamiGazetted Officers' Krotho (AGOK) is scheduled to be held at AGOK Badze, Meriema, Kohima on March 7.  A DIPR report stated that Advisor, Urban Development, Municipal Affairs, Government of Nagaland, Zhaleo Rio, IAS ( reitred) has consented to grace the conference as the chief guest.  Therefore, all the AGOK members from NAGOK, SAGOK, WAGOK & CGOK have been requested to attend the programme.

Ex-Parliamentarians Association of Nagaland convenes meeting on March 9

Dimapur, March 3 (MExN): A meeting of the executive council of the Ex-Parliamentarians Association of Nagaland (Ex-PAN) comprising of Office Bearers, Advisors and Executive Members (District representatives) is being convened on March 9. This was informed by its President, Joshua Sumi and General Secretary, Tarie Zeliang who stated that the meeting will be held at the Nagaland Legislative Assembly guest house, Darogapathar, Dimapur at 11 AM. As this is the first meeting of 2024, all members are requested to attend the meeting positively, the officials said.

Nagaland Congress to organise leadership training camp for party members

Dimapur, March 3 (MExN): The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Seva Dal has notified that a compulsory leadership training camp will be held from March 4 to 7 at Er Hokhezhe Resort, Near Vihokhu Village, Niuland. According to its Vice President (Admn), Kevetshelo Venuh, all Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee officials, NPCC Secretaries, PCC Members, Mahila, Nagaland Pradesh Youth Congress, Nagaland Students’ Union of India, Minority Cells, and all the Frontals have been requested to attend the inaugural program on March 5 at 9:30 am. Also, “all ACCs to send two representatives to the Leadership Training Camp as directed by the NPCC President.”

NBSE convenes meeting with new heads of institutions

Dimapur, March 3 (MExN): Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has informed to all the new heads of institutions (both Secondary and Higher Secondary levels) appointed during the period 2023-2024, that a meeting is being convened on March 14 at Kohima to discuss the expected roles and responsibilities of the Heads of Institutions and to appraise about the rules and regulations of the board. As per a DIPR report, all the new heads of institutions are therefore requested to confirm their participation positively on or before March 8. Furthermore, other interested heads of institutions are welcome to join the meeting.  The meeting venue shall be shared later in the Districts WhatsApp groups.

NHPS convenes meeting for selection board

Dimapur, March 3 (MExN): A meeting of the selection board for IEC Manager and Data Analyst under NHPS has been convened on March 4, 11:00 AM at the Conference Hall, NHPS Office, Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Compound, Kohima. This will be held to deliberate on:
•    Evaluate the applications received and to shortlist, the candidates for interview and practical evaluation.
•    Identify coopted members for the Interview and practical evaluation.
•    Set a date for interview and practical evaluation.

NNPSGSEF general meeting to take place on March 5

Dimapur, March 3 (MExN): There will be a joint General Meeting of Nagaland National Pension System Government Service Employees Forum (NNPSGSEF) Dimapur, Chumoukedima, Niuland Unit in regard to National Pension System (NPS) on March 5 (1:00 PM) near The Garden, NSA Super Market Area, Dimapur. The NPS subscribers of all the Departments of the three units are to attend the meeting compulsorily.

Renewal of patta for Diphupar 'B' village commences

Dimapur, March 3 (MExN): The Diphupar B village council has informed all patta holders of the village that the renewal of patta for the year 2024 to 2027 will be commencing from March 1 to 31. Therefore the Village council’s secretary, Mhabemo Mozhui stated that “all have been informed to submit your original patta along with one passport-size photo for renewal, late fine shall be imposed to the defaulters.”

FCI assures sufficiency of rice stocks for Nagaland state

Dimapur, March 3 (MExN):  The Food Corporation of India (FCI) has assured that sufficient stocks of rice were available in the central pool to the requirement of NFSA  for the state of Nagaland. According to its regional office, as on February 29, approximately 48187 Metric Tonnes (MT) of FRK Rice is available against 13912 MT (approx) to be lifted during the month of March 2024 in the Central pool “which is well above the buffer norms/ operational requirement.”

NNC (Parent Body) Lotha Regions adopts resolutions

Wokha, March 3 (MExN): The Lotha Regional Council NNC (Parent Body) has expressed appreciation and acknowledged the Forum for Naga Reconciliation and Shisha Hoho's approach of nurturing the Naga people's hood. It further expressed appreciation and support the newly elected Naga Hoho's office bearers their ‘unflinching contribution and active participation in the Naga National Movement based on the 1929 Simon Commission, Naga Independence of August 14, 1947 and the Naga Plebiscite of 1951.’ These were part of unanimous resolutions passed during its general meeting held on March 1 in Wokha Village, informed a press release from Ekyimthung Patton, President, Lotha Regional Council (NNC).

DC & DEO Mkg issues order to arms license holders

Dimapur, March 3 (MExN): In view of the upcoming General Election to the 18th Lok Sabha Election 2024, the Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Phoji has issued an order to conduct physical verification of all fire Arms and ammunition held by the licensees in the district in accordance with the rules 30 and 112 of the Arms rules. The order was issued to ensure peaceful atmosphere in the District. Therefore all the Arms License holders under Mokokchung district are directed to report to the nearest concerned police station between 9:00 AM to 3:00PM latest by March 29 with arms/ammunition and license booklet for physical verification. The officer-in-charge of the concerned Police Station shall furnish daily report in excel format with the required details: The name of the license holder, License No, UIN No, type of Arms License No, License last renewed date and No. of ammunition Available, a DIPR report stated.     

TOLIC biannual meeting held at ARTC Shokhuvi

Shokhuvi, March 3 (MExN): The first biannual meeting of Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC), Dimapur was held at Assam Rifles Training Centre & School, Shokhuvi on February 29 under the Chairmanship of Brig Raman Sharma. Assessing the progress regarding implementation of Hindi in Central Government Offices in Dimapur, Brig Sharma stressed on importance of progressive use of Hindi and exhorted all members to implement the policies issued by the Government of India regarding implementation of the official language Hindi.  He also emphasised that Hindi should be implemented by incentive and inspiration in all Central Government offices. He further added that all TOLIC members should be present in the meeting to enhance the utility of TOLIC meeting. A total of 23 members of central government offices, banks and undertakings situated in Dimapur participated in the meeting.
