
Dimapur two-wheeler taxi permit holders orientation
DIMAPUR, MAY 31 (MExN): The Dimapur District Two-Wheeler Taxi Association has informed all candidates selected for the Two-Wheeler Taxi Permits to report in person for orientation and completion of necessary procedures. The orientation will be held from June 5 to 7 at the association office located at OA-43, Naga Shopping Arcade, near “The Garden” restaurant, Supermarket, Dimapur, starting at 10 AM onwards each day. Candidates who have obtained the Assurance Certificate are required to bring the document on the scheduled date for verification. The association has also issued a strict warning against the sale or transfer of Assurance Certificates or commercial permits, stating that such actions are strictly prohibited. Any individual found engaging in such activity will face summary termination of their commercial permit, it said. RALOA to approach Union Railway Minister on land issue
DIMAPUR, MAY 31 (MExN): The Railway Affected Landowners' Association (RALOA) has announced that a delegation comprising senior advisors and executive members will be sent to New Delhi to submit a representation to the Union Railway Minister and the Chairman of the Railway Board of India regarding the ongoing land dispute along the railway track from Sangtamtilla village to Niu Colony, spanning approximately 8 km. The association stated that this step is being taken to apprise the Central government of the rights of the Nagas and to seek a solution to the protracted land ownership conflict involving properties adjoining either side of the railway track. RALOA has also urged landowners who are not yet registered or are unaware of the ongoing developments to get themselves registered and cooperate with the association's initiative. All concerned landowners have been requested to extend full cooperation and make the necessary contributions as fixed by the association, either through their respective representatives or via the official online platform.
GPRN/NSCN (U) terminates one
DIMAPUR, MAY 31 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN (U) has announced the termination of service of one of its officers on charges of involvement in "anti-national activities." According to an order issued by the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Naga Army, Lt Gen Aheto Chophi, the service of one Major Nukishi, son of Mongko from Yaongyimti Village under Chang Region, has been terminated with immediate effect. The termination is in accordance with Article 76, Clause III of the NARRA (NSCN/GPRN rules), the order stated.
NSCN/GPRN (Niki) discharges one
DIMAPUR, MAY 31 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN (Niki) has discharged Lt Col. Manjam s/o Honshen of Chen Loishu Village under Konyak Region from military service on health ground with effect from May 31. “The NSCN/GPRN honours his selfless contributions rendered towards the cause of Naga nation during his tenure in military service. The Government conveys good wishes for his future endeavours,” a press release issued by its MIP stated on Saturday.
