Ban on single-use plastic in Zunheboto

Zunheboto, May 9 (MExN): Zunheboto DC Office through EAC Zunheboto, N Nyamok Konyak has issued a notification informing all the Administration offices within Zunheboto district that as per the notification of the Government of Nagaland, Department of Urban Development, Nagaland Kohima on the ban of Single-Use Plastic (SUP), the District Administration Offices have been directed to take up active steps to tackle the menace of plastic waste and implement the ban under their respective jurisdictions.

Committee on Estimates meeting 

Kohima, May 9 (MExN): The Committee on Estimates, Chairman, Dr Chotisuh Sazo has convened a sitting of the Committee on May 11, at 10:30 am at the Committee Room or the Assembly Secretariat, Kohima. Therefore, all the members of the Committee on Estimates have been requested to make it convenient to attend the meeting, as scheduled.

Dimapur District 1st Spell Bee Competition

Dimapur, May 9 (MExN): The Dorian’s Society Dimapur will be organizing Dimapur District 1st Spell Bee Competition on June 11 at DBIdl building, Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Dimapur in aid of its 25th Silver Jubilee celebrations. NSCN (IM) Angami Region urges to implement FA

Dimapur, May 9 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) Angami Region has reaffirmed the stand to support the Framework Agreement (FA) signed on August 3, 2015. A press release from the MIP, NSCN (IM) stated that the Angami Region National Workers during a meeting at Kohima on May 7 resolved to urge the “Government of India and its representatives not to shy away from the historic agreement that was signed in full view of the whole world and to implement the Framework Agreement at the earliest.” “The meeting pointed out that the Indo-Naga issue has been stretched far too long and to bring about a permanent solution, the Framework Agreement is the only honorable and respectable solution,” the MIP stated. It also extended support to the FA and wished “for good wisdom and sound health to be granted to the leaders.”
