DC Tuensang informs participants of tribal artisan mela

Kohima, May 12 (MExN):  The Deputy Commissioner Tuensang Nokchasashi has notified the participants for Tribal Artisan Mela (TAM) to be held at Town Hall Tuensang from May 15-16 to the to reach the venue by 11AM for registration. They were further informed to to bring documents of ST Certificate, Aadhar Card, PAN card, bank passbook, two passport size photos and registration details for SHG/NGO/FPO. As per the State DIPR, the mela is being organised for marketing and logistics development for the promotion of tribal products from the North-East Region.

ICAR Nagaland Centre announces pig breeder training prog 

Medziphema, May 12 (MExN):  The ICAR Nagaland Centre, Medziphema has invited application for its five-day training-cum-promotion of pig breeder to be held either in May or June.  The training is open to breeder (having 10 or more than 10 sows at their unit), the Centre informed in a notification.  The application can be filled as per the proforma available at ICAR Nagaland Centre website (https://icarnagaland.nic.in/) and send to icarnagaland@gmail.com by May 20.  “This programme will be for pig breeder and not for fattener. Participant will be sorted out by the institute on their potentiality as future entrepreneur in pig breeding,” it said.  Programme schedule would be intimated to the selected participants only, it added.  

NSCN-K (Khango) informs 

Dimapur, May 12 (mexn):  The NSCN-K (Khango) today informed that it has learnt from reliable sources some “unscrupulous elements are involved in issuing non local identity cards and collecting certain amount” in its name in Kuhuboto area under Niuland District.  Accordingly, it stated that the “act of imposters” indulging in tarnishing the good image of the NSCN-K (Khango) is viewed seriously.  The NSCN has neither endorsed nor entrusted any officials to carry out any such drive, stated a press release from MIP NSCN-K (Khango), further cautioning any individual/group to desist from any such activities to avoid ‘stringent action.’
