The annual Thekranyi festival was celebrated at Mezoma under Kohima district on May 15. Thekranyi is celebrated to seek blessings for paddy transplantation. T Husie Lhousa Kikramia celebrated Thekranyi at Mezoma. Through this celebration, paddy transplantation will kick start from June 1.
Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland, Vyasan R visited Phek on May 15 and inspected EVM strong rooms and counting hall at DC & DEO office, Phek. The inspection was made in the presence of DC & DEO Phek, John Tsulise Sangtam and found satisfactory with the preparedness of counting hall for 2024 Lok Sabha Election conducted in Phek district, a DIPR report informed.
