
AISGEF strike deferred to July 9
Kohima, May 16 (MExN): The Confederation of All Nagaland State Service Employees Association (CANSSEA) has informed the public that the All India State Government Employees Federation (AISGEF) National Strike, originally scheduled for May 20 has been deferred to July 9. The decision was made by the AISGEF Secretariat following a review of the current national situation, which was deemed “not conducive for such action at this time.” The CANSSEA, Press Secretary, Siewatho S Nyusou in a press release stated that in light of this and in the spirit of national solidarity, AISGEF has directed all State Government Employee Federations to adhere to the revised schedule. Therefore, CANSSEA has appealed to all affiliated Associations and members to take note of the revised date and to continue their support to the collective cause.
ZTC demands better telecom services
Zunheboto, May 16 (MExN): The Zunheboto Town Council (ZTC) has issued an appeal to all telecom service providers regarding the poor network quality. Highlighting the challenges faced by public of Zunheboto town, the Council chairperson K Herato Sukhalu in an official notice stated that the poor service is disrupting business operations, mobile payments and online transactions, delaying emergency responses and putting lives at risk. He also stated that the poor connection disrupts “online learning, research, and access to educational resources, and causing inconvenience, stress, and impacting productivity.” The Council has requested immediate attention to improve network coverage, data speed, and overall service quality.
