SYO mourns Dr Huskha’s demise

Kohima, May 24 (MExN): The Sumi Youth Organization (SYO) mourned the demise of Dr. Huskha Yeputhomi, who breathed his last on May 21 at Zion Hospital Dimapur. Dr. Huskha Yeputhomi, Working President of Naga People’s Front (NPF) and former president of Sumi Hoho, will forever be remembered for his outstanding contributions to the prosperity, unity, and welfare of the Sumi community, as well as the broader Naga populace, SYO stated in a condolence message. As a man of remarkable intellect and foresight, Dr. Yeputhomi held a significant position in Sumi leadership, serving as a beacon of guidance and inspiration to many. While his departure has created a profound void, his enduring legacy is destined to be immortalized within the realms of history for years to come, the Organization stated. SYO conveyed its deepest sympathies to the grieving family and close associates of Dr. Huskha Yeputhomi and “stands in solidarity during this challenging time, offering our heartfelt thoughts and prayers as the bereaved family and his loved ones navigate through the emotional upheaval of loss.”

Kiphire DC calls meeting

Kiphire, May 24 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkumer, NCS informed that in view of the upcoming Urban Local Body Election 2024 in the district, a meeting has been convened at DPDB Conference Hall, Kiphire on May 28 at 11:00 AM. Therefore, the following have been requested to attend the meeting positively-Returning Officer, KTC/PTC/STC; Representative each from USLP/TTC/YTC/ESH; PA to DC; Head Dobashe and Head Gaonbura. 

GBUD(S) inducts seven members

Dimapur, May 24 (MExN): GB Union Dimapur (Sadar), on May 22, has officially inducted seven GB members under Article 14 of the union’s constitution. These GB members shall shoulder the responsibilities to solve different cases under the ambit of the Naga Customary Laws and Practices within its jurisdiction, informed another press release from the union. The NCLJC court under GBUD (S) will function its activities at the union customary court office, Zakiesato colony, Dimapur, it said. To this end, it informed the public avail the service for equality in true justice for all.
