
Advisory to avoid buying and consumption of pork from Assam
Tuli, November 29 (MExN): The Additional Deputy Commissioner of Tuli, Relise Sangtam, NCS has issued a general advisory to avoid buying and consumption of pork from Assam. The ADC Tuli stated that the advisory was based on the Notification issued by the Office of the District Commissioner, Sivasagar, Assam informing all general public to avoid buying and consumption of pork from Assam. “Further, this Office has received information that there is confirmed case of African Swine Fever Disease (ASF) in neighbouring Sivasagar District of Assam,” the ADC stated. Any death of pigs within Tuli Sub-Division should be brought to the notice of the Veterinary Department, it added. In this regard all concerned have been requested to disseminate the information within their respective jurisdiction.
NSUI Nagaland condemn assault
DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 28 (MExN): The National Students Union of India (NSUI), Nagaland State has vehemently condemned what it termed as despicable and reprehensible behavior of Professor Sarat Chandra Yenisetti, Department of Zoology, Nagaland University, for his brutal physical assault on a female colleague. As an educator, he has grossly betrayed the trust and integrity of his position, exhibiting a shocking lack of decency, professionalism, and respect for his peers. Such heinous actions are utterly unacceptable in our society and warrant severe consequences, stated a press release issued by NSUI Nagaland on Wednesday. The Union also noted that this is not an isolated case and many students have had unpleasant experiences in the past as well. It has therefore demand his immediate and unconditional termination from his post, to prevent any future recurrences of this appalling behavior.The NSUI Nagaland said it will make certain that this case is brought to a logical conclusion to ensure the dignity and safety of both the faculties and the students.
Independent Party 47 AC Aboi joins NDPP party

MON, NOVEMBER 28 (MExN): Members of the Independent Party 47 AC Aboi led by its president and its party leaders joined the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) under the leadership of State President, Chingwang Konyak and Chief Minister, Shri Neiphiu Rio, on November 5 at Aboi HQ, Mon District. According to a press release, the party members affirmed to serve the people and uphold their faith and confidence in the visionary leadership of Chief Minister and NDPP State President and to work wholeheartedly by taking the party to new heights under 47 AC Aboi. The rank and files of Independent Party 47 AC Aboi declared to join the NDPP in the interest of the social-political understanding and then to strengthen one of the most popular parties of Nagaland, the press release stated. The meeting culminated with a unanimous resolution expressing confidence and support towards the exemplary leadership of State President NDPP.
NSCN/GPRN recovers 2 unregistered motorbikes
DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 28 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN has recovered two Yamaha FZ motorbikes without registration numbers. One of the recovered bikes with blue color bears engine number 21C6033971 and chassis number ME121C061B2033757 while the other one with black color bears engine number 21CD013726 and chassis number ME121C0D9C20130808. Owners of the above mentioned motorbikes are informed to claim their bikes by contacting the concerned authority through phone number- 9863823864 within seven days.
UNPG/NNC-PB regions chairman condemn
Kohima, November 28 (MExN): The Regions chairman of UNPG/NNC-PB has expressed shock at the “baseless allegation” made by Walling against the President and unanimously condemned the character assassination of the office. The Regions chairman questioned Walling on its legitimacy to claim the government with a handful of followers and without the support of the Regions. The regions assured its full support to the legitimate Government under the leadership of the President, S Kiviho Zhimomi UNPG/NNC-PB, Co-Convener of the Working Committee.
