KMC on trade licence

Kohima, November 4 (MExN): With a view to decrease the inconvenience faced while applying for Trade Licence, the Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) informed all those seeking fresh Trade Licence under KMC to first obtain No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the concerned Ward Councillor. Those in possession of the signed NOC will not be required to obtain the Councillor's signature in the Declaration Form again. This was stated in a release issued by KMC Chief Executive Officer T. Lanusenla Longkumer.

Land acquisition for Botsa HQ expansion in Kohima

Kohima, November 4 (MExN): The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, has issued a notification regarding the acquisition of land for the expansion of Botsa Headquarters. Land measuring 66,167 square meters (approximately 16.35 acres) is set for acquisition or outright purchase. The area is located at Botsa, Kohima, and is bordered by North: Stream/Road, South: Stream, East: Kehouzelie Rio and West: Road/Water Canal. Under the authority conferred by Section 9(2) of the Nagaland Land Requisition Acquisition Act, 1965, the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, has invited any individuals or parties with claims or objections regarding the acquisition of the specified area to submit their concerns. Claims or objections must be submitted to the Deputy Commissioner’s office within 30 days from the date of this notification.

ADC Tseminyu calls meeting

Tseminyu, November 4 (MExN): In view of the upcoming Child Rights Week 2024, the celebration commencing from November 14 to 24, Additional Deputy Commissioner Tseminyu, Kikumsangla Jamir has informed that a consultative meeting on November 14 at 12 noon in the conference hall, Deputy Commissioner Office Tseminyu. In this regard the following members have been requested to attend the meeting positively- Superintendent of Police; Special Juvenile Police Unit; CDPO; Senior Medical Officer; SDEO; District Child Protection Officer; All Councillors, Tseminyu Town Council; and Chairperson of CWC Tseminyu.

Preparation for Mini Hornbill Unity Festival in Peren district

Peren, November 4 (MExN): Co-ordination meeting and work distribution for the upcoming Mini Hornbill Unity Festival scheduled from December 5 to 7 for Peren district was held at Deputy Commissioner Office, conference hall, new District Headquarter Peren on November 4. Deputy Commissioner Peren, Hiazu Meru highlighted that upcoming Mini Hornbill Unity festival for Peren district is organised for strengthening and create more unity in the district. Hiazu Meru informed that Mini Hornbill Unity festival official programme will be organised at Deputy Commissioner Office complex and other programmes will be organised at Zero Point Beikingpuichak below DC Office, Peren. The meeting decided to construct a community morung at DC office complex and at Zero Point Beikingpuichak and the house also approved to have River side Camping during the three days festival. In the meeting official and the representative of NZPO, Zeliangrong Baudi, Zeme Council, Liangmai Council, Kuki Inpi and Rongmei Council attended the meeting.
