NFHRCC joint inspection of Foothills Road sites on Nov 15

Wokha, November 13 (MExN): The Nagaland Foothills Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) has announced a joint inspection of ongoing Foothills Road construction sites under eight work orders at Baghty Division, Wokha District, scheduled for November 15. The inspection team will include all stakeholders, such as the Lotha Hoho and its subsidiaries, NPWD (Roads & Bridges), contractor firms, and members of the media fraternity. As per the NFHRCC, the team will depart from Dimapur at 7:00 AM  and assemble at Merapani Village at 9:00 AM.  After a brief interaction over breakfast, the inspection will proceed along the work sites and conclude at Hovekhu–Niuland via Old Ralan, with lunch served at Hayiyan Village, it added. The NFHRCC has urged the concerned department and contractor firms to cooperate fully with the inspection team to ensure the visit is conducted fairly and transparently.

NSCN (IM) clarifies

Dimapur, November 13 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) today alleged that the MIP of ZUF (Jengchui Group) has been ‘feeding’ misleading information to the media linking Naga Army officer Lieutenant Col Khangdi with the “abduction case of an official of Apex Construction Company at Longkao (Nungkao).” “This is to clarify that this is not based on ground reality and is totally untrue,” stated a press release from the MIP, NSCN (IM). It further asserted that the Zeilad Region of NSCN (IM) “in no manner” allows such socio-economic crimes to take place in the region, nor are its members “connected in any respect whatsoever.” 

Unidentified body found near Power House Colony, Dimapur

Dimapur, November 13 (MExN): An unidentified non-local male, aged around 50 years, was found dead near the Christian Revival Church at Power House Colony, Burma Camp, Dimapur, on November 11. According to the Dimapur Police, information about the incident was received at around 5:45 am from the Police Control Room. Following this, a police team rushed to the spot and found the body lying by the roadside. After completing all necessary legal formalities, the body was shifted to the District Hospital Morgue for post-mortem examination and identification. Police have requested any claimant, relative, or friend of the deceased to contact the Officer-in-Charge, East Police Station, Dimapur, at mobile number 7085055020.

WDCCI registration drive

Wokha, November 13 (MExN): The Wokha  District Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WDCCI) will be conducting membership registration for the year 2025-26 from November 17 to 22  from 10:00 AM-4:00 PM at its office chamber opposite NSCB Ltd, Tsumang ‘A’ Colony, Wokha Town.  In this connection,  the WDCCI has requested all business units or establishment to extend co-operation and comply with the directive.
