ADC Tening notifies on social gatherings
    
Tening, November 21 (MExN):
The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Rhosietho Nguori, has informed all concerned that those organising weddings and similar social events have to take permission from the office of ADC cum Chairman of Tening Sub- Division Task Force at least two weeks prior to the date of the event to ensure that all COVID- 19 protocols and SOPs are followed. The order issued on November 20 is in pursuance to the advisory for weddings, marriages and social events received from Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland.

Seized liquor destroyed in Mkg

Mokokchung, November 21 (MExN): The Mokokchung Police on November 20, destroyed 81 cases of liquor at the premises of Police Station-11 Mokokchung. The consignment was seized on different occasions during routine check and it was destroyed in the presence of Temsuchuba SDO (C), Chuba SDPO, Purngangtet APP, Susang Ao P.I and DPRO Mokokchung.

Tongpang Ozukum condoles

Kohima, November 21 (MExN): Minister Public Works Department Housing and Mechanical, Tongpang Ozukum grieved the demise of Nokojungba Ozukum, Senior Research Officer in the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Nagaland.

Late Ozukum who passed away on November 20 at NHAK was described as a “dedicated, sincere and hardworking officer who led an exemplary life for everyone to emulate and follow.”

The Minister and his family extended condolences to the wife and children of the deceased and prayed for God to give them courage and solace. He also prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.

NSCN (IM) mourns demise of members

Dimapur, November 21 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) on Saturday grieved the demise of two of its members who passed away on November 20.

Brigadier Khatwang Tahkaishu, MSM of Moba Brigade, Naga Army from Sheangha Chingnyu village under Konyak Region was posthumously bestowed the rank of Major General by the office of the Longvibu, Naga Army on November 20 in recognition of his service to the Naga nation, the NSCN (IM) informed in a press release. He enrolled in the Naga national service on the August 8, 1981, it added.

It further mourned the demise of Sergeant Thangmeiso Kashak of the General Headquarters (GHq), Naga Army from Zingsui village under Wung Tangkhul Region (WTR). “He enrolled in the Naga national service on the 24th July, 2010,” it stated.

“The office of the Adjutant General, Naga Army has bestowed upon him posthumously the rank of Sergeant Major on the 20th November, 2020 in recognition of his service to the Naga nation,” the release added. 

The NSCN (IM) also stated that the void created by their demise would be difficult to fill.

It conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and close friends of Maj Gen Khatwang Tahkaishu and Sergeant Major Thangmeiso Kashak and prayed for God to grant their souls eternal peace.
