DC Kohima notifies on traffic at Naga Bazaar and Dak Lane

Kohima, November 24 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Kohima has notified the following arrangement for one way traffic at the under mentioned location w.e.f November 26 till further order. All vehicles exiting from Naga bazaar and Dak Lane towards Razu Point shall henceforth be restricted from 9:00 am till 1:00 pm. During the restriction timing, only vehicles proceeding downwards to Naga Bazar and Dak Lane shall be permitted. The order was issued in the interest of public service and in order to ease traffic congestion in and around Kohima town and in pursuance to the decision taken during the meeting with ward panchayats of Dak Lane, Naga Bazar and D. Block on November 24.

KCCI call for shops decoration

Kohima, November 24 (MExN): In view of the forthcoming festive season of Hornbill Festival and Christmas, the Kohima Chamber of Commerce & Industries (KCCI) called upon its members to come forward in decorating their respective shops and also to keep their shop vicinity clean. The KCCI will award the Best Decorated Commercial Building during the Hornbill Night Carnival 2022, according to Hornbill Night Carnival Management Committee.

Put up decorative lights: KMC

Kohima, November 24 (MExN): In view of the forthcoming Hornbill Festival and Christmas season, the Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has requested the public to put up decorated lights by November 30 in the state capital Kohima. All the shopkeepers and business establishments within KMC jurisdiction have been directed to clean, whitewash, paint their shops facing the road and put up proper lighting. This was stated in a notice issued by KMC administrator T Lanusenla Longkumer.

Chozuba-Yorüba Joint Fellowship

Kohima, November 24 (MExN): The Chozuba-Yorüba Joint Fellowship programme was held under the aegis of both Razuve Hoho on November 23 at EC School, Chozuba Town in Phek district. This programme was conducted to strengthen better cooperation and relationship. Vekusa Lohe, Pastor, Chozuba Town Baptist Church was the speaker of the programme. We should all contribute to build a better Chozuba Town, he said.

NDPP Central Youth Org social work

Kohima, November 24 (MExN): The Nationalist Democratic Progress Party (NDPP) Central Youth Organization will be organizing a social work cum cleanliness drive in Kohima on November 26 at 7:00 AM. It will take place at Old MLA Hostel Junction, Kohima under the theme “Cleanliness, our responsibility.” Dr. Neikiesalie Nicky Kire, advisor Urban Development and Municipal Affairs will address the programme. Imchatoba Imchen, president NDPP Central Youth Organization will deliver presidential address. The programme will be led by NDPP Central Youth Organization working president Lhouvi Punyu.

ANLB annual meet

Kohima, November 24 (MExN): Association of Nagaland Literature Boards (ANLB) annual general meeting will be held at Directorate of Education Conference Hall, Kohima on November 29, 11:00 am with Kevileno Angami, Commissioner Secretary Education as speaker. In this connection, ANLB President Dr Ditsolo Kapfo has invited all the ANLB office bearers, members and chairman of all the 18 Constituent Tribal Literature Boards, Language Officers, ALOs, Language Assistants and well-wishers to attend the meeting positively.
