Gauhati High Court Kohima Bench observes Constitution Day
Kohima, November 26 (MExN): The Gauhati High Court Kohima Bench (GHCKB) marked Constitution Day on November 26 at the Bar Room, with Temsumenla Jamir serving as moderator. The event began with a welcome address by Ajongba Imchen, Registrar, followed by short speeches from L.T. Sangtam, Additional Advocate General, and C.T. Jamir, President of the High Court Bar Association. Justices N Unni Krishnan Nair and Yarenjungla Longkumer of the Gauhati High Court also addressed the gathering. The programme concluded with the reading of the Preamble to the Constitution, highlighting the importance of upholding its values and principles.
Nagaland Governor brings Ngada festival greetings
Kohima, November 26 (MExN): Nagaland Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla extended his greetings to the Rengma community on the occasion of the Ngada festival. In his message, the Governor stated that the revered festival “embodies the spirit of gratitude, unity, and thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest, reflecting the richness of our cultural heritage and communal harmony.” He expressed hope that as people come together to celebrate the joyous occasion, it would “bring renewed hope, peace, and prosperity to all.” Governor Bhalla urged the community to “continue to uphold the noble traditions of our forebears and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and goodwill that unite us.”
UNPG/NNC dissolves, merges with GPRN/NSCN
Dimapur, November 26 (MExN): The United Naga Peoples’ Government/Naga National Council (UNPG/NNC) has officially dissolved its government on November 25, unanimously resolving to join and extend full affirmation and support to the GPRN/NSCN government. According to a press update, it stated that the decision was taken to expedite an early Naga solution under the dynamic leaderships of Major (Retd) R M Lotha, President of GPRN/NSCN, and N Kitovi Zhimomi, Ato Kilonser of GPRN/NSCN and Convener of the Working Committee (WC) Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs).
Info on car pass for Statehood Day
Kohima, November 26 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner of Kohima B Henok Buchem has on Wednesday informed all concerned HoDs to collect the invitation card and Car Pass for the 63rd Statehood Day celebration from the office of the deputy commissioner, Kohima. At the same time, it has directed the entire district HoDs to attend the celebration without fail.
Meeting on tobacco control prog in Phek

In this connection, the Superintendent of Police, Phek, District Nodal Officer, NTCP, Phek, District Education Officer, Phek, Assistant Commissioner of State Taxes, Phek, District Public Relation Officer, Phek, Chairperson, Phek Town Council, District Transport Officer, Phek, President, Chakhesang Public Organization and Principal, Govt Hr Secondary School, Phek have been requested to attend the meeting positively.
