
Dimapur Police clarifies
Dimapur, October 17 (MExN): The Office of the Commissioner of Police (CP) Dimapur, has issued a corrigendum regarding a previously released “Wanted” lookout notice. The notice, originally issued on October 13, contained an error regarding the suspect’s village name, the police said. According to the revised information, the village name, previously mentioned as “Natha Village”, should instead be listed as “unknown,” it added. The CP office has expressed regret over the oversight.
KVYO Christmas Bazaar from Dec 1
Kohima, October 17 (MExN): The Kohima Village Youth Organisation (KVYO) has announced it will be organising a ‘Christmas Bazaar’ from December 1-24 at Khuochiezie, Kohima Local Ground. The bazaar will include first-hand and second-hand garments, vegetables, mela, trade fair, and many other activities, informed the KVYO in a press release. Registration forms for participation in the event will be issued from November 21-25 and interested persons may collect the form from the KVYO Office Probogei, United Traders Building, Main Town, Kohima, it added. The last date for submission of forms is November 29.
Mass social work in Kohima on Oct 21
Kohima, October 17 (MExN): In view of the upcoming festive season, the Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has directed all wards under KMC to conduct mass social work in their respective colonies or wards on October 21 from 6 AM. Further, all shops/ business establishments have been directed to open their businesses only after completion of the social work.
NNC/FGN monthly meeting on Oct 28
Kohima, October 17 (MExN): The monthly meeting of the Naga National Council (NNC) and the Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) will be held on October 28, , 10AM onwards at Transit Peace Camp (TPC), Kohima. In this connection, the Ministry of Rali Wali FGN has informed all the Central and Regional Authorities of the FGN and the high ranking Naga Army officers of the FGN, and all the Central and Regional Authorities of the NNC including the Naga Women Federation (NWF), the Naga Youth Federation (NYF) and the Kuki Tribal Union (KTU) to positively attend the meeting.
DTO Phek inform pensioners
Phek, October 17 (MExN): The office of the District Treasury Officer (DTO) Phek has informed all the pensioners drawing pension under District Treasury Office Phek, that as per CTC 368 the annual physical verification for the current year 2024 will take place from November 7. For Family pensioners, it will be held on November 7 for Phek Town and November 8 for outsiders. Physical verification for life pensioners on November 11 &12 (Phek Town) and November 13 & 14 (Outsiders). Document required for Physical verification includes; Passport 1 (one) copy., Bank Passbook, Pensioner's ID card and Aadhaar card. Failing to attend the Physical verification, Pensioner's payment shall be closed and ceased which will be submitted to A.G Nagaland. Life certificate may be collected from Pension cell during Office hour from October 21, according to treasury officer, Phek.
