Meeting on sensitization of ILR
Kohima, October 27 (MExN): A meeting on the Sensitization of the Inner Line Regulation, organized by the Inner Line Regulation Commission (ILRC) under the aegis of the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF), will be held on November 3 at 11:00 AM at NCD Office Conference Hall, Nyamo Lotha Road, Dimapur.
All Office Bearers and Executive Members of the Naga Council Dimapur (NCD), GB’s Union Dimapur Sadar and Members, and Office Beaarers and Members of Dimapur Urban Council Chairmen Federation (DUCCF) have been requested to attend the meeting without fail.

NPF Minority Wing extends Chhath Puja greetings
Dimapur, October 27 (MExN): The NPF Minority Wing has extended warm greetings and best wishes to the Bhojpuri and Bihari citizens of Nagaland and neighbouring regions on the joyous occasion of Chhath Puja. In a message, Bishnu Bhattacharjee, President of the NPF Minority Wing (Central), conveyed heartfelt wishes to all devotees observing the festival. “Chhath Puja, the sacred prayer and offering to the Sun God (Chhathi Mata) performed along riverbanks, is a significant and revered festival of the Bhojpuri community. May this auspicious celebration bring blessings, peace, and prosperity to everyone,” Bhattacharjee stated. The NPF Minority Wing also acknowledged the rich cultural diversity represented by Chhath Puja and extended its good wishes for harmony and well-being among all communities.
Old Aree Village Council refutes claim of Amur falcon site neglect
WOKHA, OCTOBER 27 (MExN): The Old Aree Village Council in Wokha district has strongly refuted allegations made by one T Tsenpemo Kikon in a recent write-up accusing the Forest and Wildlife Department of neglecting Amur falcon conservation efforts. In a statement issued by Village Council Chairman Liponthung Lotha, Council Secretary Yihalp Yanthan and Head GB Mhonchumo Kilon, the council said both the Forest and Wildlife Departments have been extending assistance to the underprivileged, including residents of Old Aree village, through initiatives aimed at uplift and development since 2021. Terming the claims as “baseless,” the council appealed to the concerned departments not to entertain such allegations and urged them to continue their support and welfare activities for the poor and needy in the village.
