COPU convenes oral evidence cum adoption meeting

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 15 (MExN): Chairman of the Committee on Public Undertakings (COPU), Imkong L Imchen has convened an Oral Evidence Cum Adoption Meeting of the Committee with the Departmental Representatives of NHTDC, NIDC, NHHDC and NSMDC under the Department of Industries & Commerce and the Department of Geology and Mining on October 18 at 11 am in the Committee Room of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly for the Examination of the C&AG Report of India. All the Members of the Committee have been requested to attend the meeting. The AHOD, HOD and Managing Directors of the respective Departments/Corporations have also been asked to attend the meeting with all required supporting documents for tendering evidence before the Committee.

KMC on vending zones in Kohima

Kohima, October 15 (MExN): As per the recent meeting minutes of 5th Town Vending Committee Kohima, the following locations have been temporarily declared as vending zones till alternative locations or other facilities are created for the purpose. It includes; South Gate, Khuochiezhie (Local Ground), Razhu Point and High school junction area (toward Sanuoru & ITI). This was stated in a circular issued by Kohima Municipal Council Chairperson T Lunusenla Longkumer.

NCD Vigilance Committee convenes meet on Oct 17

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 15 (MExN): The Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) Vigilance Committee has called upon all Dimapur based Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Tribal Hohos and all registered, unregistered unions under Dimapur district for an emergency meeting on October 17 at Naga Council Dimapur Office Conference Hall at 11:00 am to discuss some important agendas and issues regarding extreme public grievances and about the prevailing overabundance of unions & organizations in Dimapur district. A press release from the NCD asked the Presidents, General Secretaries or representatives of 125 organisations to attend the meeting. It further extended a special invitation to the Western Sumi Hoho and Chakro Public Organization Dimapur.

33rd SBPU biennial conference from Oct 20

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 15 (MExN): The Sümi Baptist Pastors’ Union (SBPU) will hold its 33rd Biennial Conference from October 20 to 22. The conference which will be held on the theme ‘Back to the family’ is hosted by Sümi Baptist Church Zunheboto on behalf of SBAK Nito Mount. Rev Kughato Chophi, Executive Secretary, SBAK (NM); Rev Khutovi Swu, Pastor, Khukishe Baptist Church; and Rev Dr Toniho Kiho, Pastor, Chekiye Baptist Church will be the conference speakers. Pastors from more than 350 churches under Sümi Baptist Convention (SBC)  comprising of three associations, namely Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakulu (SBAK) Nito Mount, Western Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakulu (WSBAK) and  Sümi Aphuyemi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakulu (SABAK) will be attending the three-day long program. Y Kikheto Sema, IAS, Commissioner and Secretary, Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Er I Hutoshe Awomi, Executive Engineer (R&B) will deliver the conference greetings.
