
Gen (Retd) TM Rhakho accepts ‘Kedahge’ office
Dimapur, October 6 (MExN): Gen (Retd) TM Rhakho, Kedahge, Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has “accepted” the “Kedahge August office with immediate effect.” In an “acceptance” letter, Rhakho stated that Tatar Hoho of FGN had a general meeting at K Basa village on September 23 as per the Federal Yelvabo. “The Tatar Hoho had unanimously elected me as Kedahge for 5 years. I express my profound thanks to all the Tatar Hoho members for reposing faith and trust on me to carry forward the Naga National Movement,” Rhakho stated in the letter on Friday. “I humbly accept the Kedahge August office with immediate effect and pledge my allegiance before almighty God that I will defend the Yekabo and the sovereign rights of the Nagas. I also appeal to all the patriotic Nagas to come together for our great cause. May God bless us and give us strength and wisdom at this twilight hour,” he added.
NNC and FGN to observe 72nd Martyrs Day
Dimapur, October 6 (MExN): Naga National Council (NNC) and the Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) along with Angami Region NNC/FGN will observe the 72nd Martyrs Day of the Naga Nation on October 18 at Zasibito's Graveyard at 10:00 am. Capt (Retd) Yirei Lungleng, Rali Wali Kilonser, FGN in a press note has requested all to participate on the occasion. It further informed all Midan Peyus, FGN and all Regional Presidents, NNC to observe this 72nd Martyr’s Day in their respective regions by laying wreaths on the graves of the Martyrs.
DUCCF clarifies on Oct 4 joint consultative meeting
Dimapur, October 6 (MExN): The Dimapur Urban Council Chairmen Federation (DUCCF) has clarified regarding the joint consultative meeting within the Dimapur District Goanbura Association (DDGBA), Dimapur Urban Council Chairmen Federation (DUCCF), Goanbura Union Sadar Dimapur (GBUSD) which was held on October 4. The DUCCF in a clarification stated that the federation officials had an emergency meeting on October 5 and discussed the issue and the outcome of the joint meeting held on October 4 and resolved that the issue pertaining to the appointment/removal of a GB at New Market Abdul Kayum Talukdar, “is an internal matter and should be settled by the Office of the GB Union-Sadar Dimapur and the District Administration.” Also regarding the statement by the President of Rising People's Party (RPP), the DUCCF has appealed to the DDGBA and GBU SD to settle the matter amicably, it stated. Therefore, the DUCCF has appealed to the general public to “refrain from confronting this matter in the social media but rather support the GB's Union Sadar in solving this concerned issue.”
Patta pass-book issuance to all land allottee in Tseminyu town
Tseminyu, October 6 (MExN): In accordance with notifications from the Department of Land Revenue, Government of Nagaland, a significant step has been taken for the efficient management and maintenance of Government Land holdings by various Government departments and private individuals within the cadastral areas of Tseminyu town.
In this concern, Deputy Commissioner of Tseminyu, Dr Tinojongshi Chang, has issued an official notification announcing the issuance of patta pass-books to all allottees, whether they are government entities or private individuals and organizations. “This issuance will be facilitated upon the submission of the existing allotment order,” a DIPR report stated here.
Government departments operating within the district, which possess physical structures located on allotted Government Land, and private individuals who have been granted land allotments are required to submit their applications, allotment orders, and supporting documents to the Deputy Commissioner's office in Tseminyu with immediate effect.
It is essential to note that the patta pass-books will only be issued after a thorough physical verification of the site by technical personnel from the Land Record and Survey Office, in coordination with the District Administration of Tseminyu.
