Deewali in Kohima on Oct 22

Kohima, October 21 (MExN): The Gorkha Public Panchayat Kohima (GPPK) in association with Gorkha NGOs, Clubs and Jatiya Sansthas is celebrating Pre-Tihar 2022 (Deewali) at the Multi-Utility hall Chandmari, Kohima on October 22 at 4:00 pm.  Bharati Chhinal, Asst. Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Kohima will grace the occasion as special guest. The GPPK Chandmari has also wished everyone a very happy and prosperous Deewali. 

NNC, FGN joint meeting on Oct 31

Dimapur, October 21 (MExN): A joint meeting of the Naga National Council (NNC) and the Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) will be held on October 31 at 10:00 am, at the Transit Peace Camp (TPC), Kohima. The meeting will mainly discuss on the running situation in Nagaland, according to a press release received here on Friday.

All the Central Authorities, Regional Authorities and high ranking Naga Army Officers of the NNC/FGN have been requested to positively attend the meeting, it added. 

NSCN/GPRN (Niki) condoles

Dimapur, October 21 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN (Niki) has mourned the demise of Aketo Jakhalu, Joint Secretary, NSCN/GPRN who passed away on October 20.

According to a condolence note issued by the MIP, Jakhalu joined the national service in 2010 and was a young and energetic individual who served the nation with utmost devotion.

“The NSCN/GPRN honours Late Aketo for his selfless service towards the cause of the Naga people and shall be kept in records the services rendered by him in different capacities,” it said while conveying condolences to the bereaved family.

CMO Peren informs

Peren, October 21 (MExN): Chief Medical Officer Peren, Dr Hatlhing Hangsing has informed all the departments in Peren district that the District Medical Board is scheduled to be held on November 9 from 10:00 am onwards in the office of Chief Medical Officer, Peren. All departments who have candidates for confirmation, invalidation and commutation of Pension etc. for Grade-III and Grade-IV employees have been directed to submit the list on or before November 8.
