Wokha GB Union golden jubilee on Oct 27-28

Wokha, October 24 (MExN): The Gaon Bura's Union Wokha will be celebrating its Golden Jubilee on October 27 and 28 with Wokha Additional Deputy Commissioner K Furhesie Nyuwi as the inaugural day guest at GB's Court, PWD colony, Wokha.  Similarly, on the valedictory day at Likya Community Hall, Wokha, MLA and Advisor for Law and Justice & Chairperson of the Wokha Distict Planning and Development Board Dr Chumben Murry, will grace the occasion as special guest, the Union informed in a press release. 

Dy CM condole demise of MK Mero 

Kohima, October 24 (MExN): Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton has mourned the death of MK Mero IAS, retired Commissioner and Secretary at Zion hospital on October 24. Patton in a condolence message said that Mero had served the government with sincerity and dedication till retirement. He leaves behind a vast knowledge and experience behind, which is a great loss for the Chakhesang in particular and Nagas in general. The Dy CM conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family and pray for the departed to rest in peace. 

NSCN (IM) appoints Speaker of Tatar Hoho

Dimapur, October 24 (MExN): During the ‘handing over and charge taking ceremony’, the newly appointed Speaker of the Tatar Hoho, Salemyang Gangmei was handed over the charge by the incumbent Speaker Maj Retd.Hutovi Chishi. The programme was conducted by the Secretary, Tatar Hoho, Reisang Shimray and attended by Kilonsers and other senior leaders of NSCN, MIP, NSCN (IM) stated in a press release.
