
Career guidance seminar to be organized in Tuensang
TueNSaNG, SEPTEMBER 8 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner of Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa has notified that a one-day career guidance seminar for empowerment linked skill development training and recruitment for educated unemployed youth of Tuensang district in the field of aviation, hospitality and cruiseliner in India and overseas will be conducted on September 16 at 10:30 am at GHSS auditorium Tuensang by Emporium Training and Consultancy as the training partner. Candidates fulfilling the following criteria can register for the Training before the commencement of the seminar at the above given venue: students who are class 10 pass and above; students who are currently in Class 12; students who are currently in 5th/6th semesters; unemployed graduates; and any school dropouts and educated unemployed youth.
DC Mon informs owners of poll requisitioned vehicles
MON, SEPTEMBER 8 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner of Mon has informed all vehicle owners/drivers whose vehicles were requisitioned from Dimapur and used for election duties in Mon district during the 14th General Election, that the vehicle hiring charges may be collected from the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, Election Branch, during Office hours from September 12 to 16. In this regard, the Vehicle Requisition Slip issued during the process of vehicle requisition in original is mandatory for release of payment.
KMC enhances pork, beef rate in Kohima
Kohima, September 8 (MExN): The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has informed that the rate of pork and beef has been enhanced from Rs 280 to Rs 300 per Kilogram within KMC jurisdiction with effect from September 4. Butchers have been asked to maintain cleanliness and hygiene update their Trade License and maintain proper shop signboards. No butcher shop shall sell pork and beef beyond the fixed price of Rs 300 per kg, informed KMC Administrator, T Lanusenla Longkumer. KMC on trade license
Kohima, September 8 (MExN): The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has informed all defaulting business establishments/ institutions within KMC jurisdiction who have not renewed their Trade License till date will be charged an additional amount of Rs 3000 as penalty along with Rs 500 as monthly late fine with effect from September 1 including all existing penalties and fines. This was stated by KMC Administrator, T Lanusenla Longkumer.
Phek Treasury Office informs pensioners
PHEK, SEPTEMBER 8 (MExN): The District Treasury Officer in Phek has informed all pensioners drawing pension payments from the District Treasury Office Phek regarding the annual verification for the year 2023. The verification schedule is as follows: For Family Pensioners: October 9 and 10; For Life Pensioners: October 11 to 13. During the physical verification period, all concerned pensioners have been requested to submit the following documents: one copy of their passport, Bank Book, ID card issued by the Pensioners Association and Aadhaar Card. The office also noted that Life Certificates will be issued from the pension section at its office during regular office hours starting from September 11.
NSCN/GPRN (Khango) clarifies
DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 8 (MExN): The NSCN/ GPRN (Khango) issued a clarification today with regard to media reports that one of its cadres was apprehended by the Assam Rifles in Mokokchung town on September 7. A press release from the MIP, NSCN/GPRN (Khango) said that Sgt Maj Talitemsu was discharged on May 23, 2023, “and he is no more NSCN member as claimed.” “Using NSCN/ GPRN (K) name for the sake of enjoying benefits and taking rehabilitation from the security forces is seriously viewed and condemned,” it added. Further, it stated that “making such unfounded claim over media for vested interest at a time when Government of India and Naga people have committed to pursue an honourable and acceptable solution of the Indo- Naga issue is a matter of serious concern.” It asked security forces to “first ascertain appropriate facts before dragging the name of NSCN/ GPRN (K) and instead focus on the larger issue in extending support to the Government of India’s sincere approach to resolve the Naga issue.”
