
Oral health prog in Kohima
Kohima, September 24 (MExN): Under the aegis of National Health Mission (NHM) the Kohima district oral health programme team conducted training for Government High School teachers at Forest colony on September 22. Presentation on oral health and hygiene was highlighted by Dr Noyingbeni Khuvung while oral diseases power-point presentation was done with elaboration by Dr Mhonsenli Yanthan. A demonstration on tooth brushing technique and brief summary on Tobacco and its ill effects was presented by Dr I Simon Sumi, District Oral Health officer under National Oral Health Programme. IEC materials, toothbrush, toothpaste were also distributed during the programme.
AIFFSO Nagaland meeting

Kohima, September 24 (MExN): The Kandi Students’ Union (KSU) will observe its 58th Foundation Day on October 5 at KSU playground. All the executive, senior members, teachers and students have been requested to attend the same without fail.
Zeliangrong Students’ Union (N) condemns alleged rape
Peren, September 24 (MExN): Zeliangrong Students’ Union (N) has condemned the alleged rape of a woman on September 8 at Ngwalwa village, Peren. Medial Cell, Zeliangrong Students' Union, Nagaland in a press release stated that it vehemently condemn the “notorious act meted out to one of our sister from our Peren District, who was physically assaulted and heartlessly raped. Such act to an innocent individual must be publicly condemned by all the sensible citizens and should be labeled as a cowardice act.” The union has urged the authority to award befitting punishment for such heinous crime which is an utmost intolerance and unacceptable in the present day society. The union also pledged for justice to the victim and her family and urged the concerned authority to take stern action as per the provision of law against such heinous crime.
Tuensang: OTC holds seminar
Tuensang, September 24 (MExN): Oriental Theological College (OTC) in Yangli, Tuensang hosted a seminar on ‘Our Constitution, Our Voice: Exploring our rights as free citizens of a free nation’ in collaboration with Project Constitutional Justice on September 23. The resource person was Dr Aniruddha Babar, Director of Project Constitutional Justice and Faculty Member in the Department of Political Science, Tetso College. A press release received here stated that the seminar, aimed at fostering a deeper understanding of constitutional rights and citizenship, brought together Gaonburas, Dobashis, women leaders, students, government officials, faculty and local community members. Dr C Chemtingla Sangtam, Principal, OTC delivered the welcome address and Hongchosing, Council Chairman, New Sangsomong Village gave the opening remark.
