Deputy CM TR Zeliang extends Mongmong greetings
Kohima, September 3 (MExN): Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister TR Zeliang has extended greetings to all the members of Sangtam community on the occasion of the Mongmong festival. Zeliang said that Mongmong festival is an important cultural and traditional occasion in the life of Sangtam community as it is celebrated to mark the onset of the harvest season and invoke the almighty for bountiful harvest, prosperity and longevity. Zeliang expressed hope that the festival will bring more unity and love amongst the Sangtam community and wished a joyous celebration.
New format for pensioner life certificate
DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 3 (MExN): All pensioners in Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Niuland districts have been informed that life certificates have to be submitted to the banks/ treasury through the new format issued by the Directorate of Treasury & Accounts, Government of Nagaland. At the same time the Pensioners ID-D card shall be mandatory to produce during the physical verification both in the treasury office as well as in the bank. All concerned pensioners are directed to obtain/renew their Identity Card ‘D’ Card from the Pensioners’ office, near Senior Treasury Office, Dimapur. Drawing of pension money without Identity Card is a contravention of the government notification vide Finance Department letter No.FIN/ESTT-67/99 (Pt-1) Dated 15-03-2010, informed a press release from the NPAD. All the concerned pensioners have been requested to renew/obtain their ID-D card on time.
Career guidance seminar in Zbto on Sept 14
ZUNHEBOTO, SEPTEMBER 3 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner of Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, IAS has informed that a career guidance seminar for employment and skill development and recruitment for educated unemployed youths of Zunheboto district in the field of aviation, hospitality, cruise lines and overseas will be conducted at Town Hall at 11:00 am on September 14. Registration will be done on the same day at 10:30 am. The DC has requested the uneducated unemployed youths to avail the opportunity and make a career for themselves.
