
Agniveer drive at Rangapahar
Dimapur, September 4 (MExN): Additional Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, Rhosietho Nguori, has issued a notification to inform the general public of Kohima District about the upcoming Agniveer Recruitment Drive. The drive is scheduled to take place on September 13 and 14 at Rangapahar Military Station, Dimapur. It is exclusively for shortlisted candidates from Nagaland. Candidates who have not yet received their Admit Cards have been advised to contact the Army Recruiting Office Rangapahar through Email (swarkokila@nic.in) or Mobile Number (8974958673) for any queries regarding their participation in the recruitment drive. The notification also cautioned the public to be vigilant against fraudulent activities involving touts and agents.
Zbto: Career guidance seminar on Sept 14
Zunheboto, September 4 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, IAS, has informed the general public of Zunheboto district that a career guidance seminar is scheduled to take place in the Town Hall at 11:00 am on September 14.
This seminar aims to provide employment and skill development opportunities for educated unemployed youths in Zunheboto district, particularly in the fields of Aviation, Hospitality, Cruise Lines, and Overseas jobs, stated a DIPR report. Registration for the seminar will begin at 10:30 am on the same day. The DC has encouraged youths to take advantage of this opportunity to build a career.
DDMA Peren issues advisory
Peren, September 4 (MExN): In light of the prevailing monsoon and rising water levels in water bodies, Deputy Commissioner & Chairman of the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Peren, Vineet Kumar, has issued a vital advisory urging the public to refrain from venturing out to rivers and water bodies during the monsoon season and heavy rainfall to ensure their safety. This was stated in a DIPR report.
Media asked to submit names for covering assembly session
Kohima, September 4 (MExN): Media correspondents and reporters representing local/regional/national news dailies and news agencies from print and electronic media including All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan Kendra (DDK) are being asked to submit their names for coverage of the 2nd Session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly scheduled to take place from September 11 to 14. Names/designations/organisations and contact information are to be submitted to iprnagaland@gmail.com by September 6.

Jan Arogya Samiti training in Phek
Phek, September 4 (MExN): Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Phek conducted Block Level Training on Jan Arogya Samiti (JAS)/VHC/HCMC from August 24 to September 1.
JAS is a committee to be formed in all the Health and Wellness Centres at SC-HWCs and PHC-HWCs to support and facilitate the conduct of activities pertaining to social accountability at AB-HWC facilities in coordination with VHSNCs, Act as Grievance Redressal Platform, facilitate and support VHSNCs in undertaking health planning etc.
The resource persons during the training were Dr Chitale Hiese, Dy CMO, Sede-U Rupreo, DPM NHM and Verhiyo DAM. The training topics covered structure and composition of JAS, overview and need of JAS, the functions of JAS, Roles and Responsibilities of JAS Members, untied funds of Jas and its uses etc.
The training were attended by MOs, CHOs, HCMC/VHC chairmen, GNM, ANM and members of HCMC/VHC, a press release received here stated.
Talk on ‘Indian Navy as a career choice’ held
Dimapur, September 4 (MExN): The final year students of School of Engineering & Technology, Nagaland University (SAT: NU) organised a talk on ‘Indian Navy as a Career Choice’ in collaboration with Indian Navy at conference hall, SAT:NU (Dimapur campus) on September 4. The speaker, Commodore Vivek I Hotti spoke on the importance of Indian Navy by stating 90% by volume and over 70% by value of India’s trade moves by sea. Exclusive Economic Zone (Area of ocean) of India is over 2 million square kilometres. He informed that aspirants can join in the following branch of Indian Navy: executive, marine engineering, electrical engineering, education and medical. He also discussed benefits of joining Indian Navy through Agnipath scheme.
