CM calls meeting to discuss border issue, SARFAESI Act
Kohima, September 10 (MExN): Nagaland Chief Minister and Convenor/Chairman of the State Assembly’s Select Committee to Examine the Nagaland-Assam Border Issue and Select Committee on SARFAESI Act, 2002, Neiphiu Rio has convened a meeting of the respective Committees on September 14 at 10:00 am and 11:30 am in the Committee Room of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat, Kohima. Dr PJ Antony, Commissioner & Secretary, NLA in a press release has reminded all the members of the Select Committees to make it convenient to attend the meeting.
IHRC-NSB demands thorough probe into death of Mizo woman
DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 10 (MExN): The International Human Rights Council- Nagaland State Board (IHRC- NSB) has expressed shock at the death of Jones C Malsawmkimi, from Mizoram, whose body was found in Dimapur on September 3. A press release from the IHRC-NSB said that the death must be investigated without any partial approach. “IHRC- NSB is concern that failing in solving the mysterious death would create a whammy like situation among people of different communities,” it stated. It demanded that a thorough investigation be done “clearing all questions and doubts.”
