Dimapur Ao Youth Organisation (DAYO) in collaboration with Ao Students Union Dimapur (ASUD) organised a painting competition at the premises of Cornerstone Hr Secondary School, Duncan Bosti, Dimapur on August 4. Under the theme of ‘Nagaland for Peace and Harmony,’ a total of 40 students (Class IX to XII category), 19 males and 21 females, from different schools across the State participated in the event. The officials explained that the students were given the option of choosing either watercolour, pencil sketching, acrylic or charcoal sketching to create their artwork. Coincidentally, an online poetry slam competition was also held for college undergraduate students under the same theme. Participants were instructed to provide their recorded video, script and personal details via email on or before August 3. The results for both the competition will be declared on August 6 during the free open air concert scheduled to be held at DDSC stadium, Dimapur. (Morung Photo)

 
The School of Economics, Commerce and Management in collaboration with the ICFAI Business School organized a Student Development Program on the Topic ‘College to Corporate,’ on August 4 in the Martin Luther Christian University hall. Abhishek Kundu, Dy GM, IBS, was the resource person.

 
Nagaland state BJP President, Temjen Imna Along held a consultative meeting with Kohima district BJP Karyakartas at his official residence in Kohima on August 3. Imna Along, who is minister for higher education and tribal afffairs, discussed various strategies with BJP Karyakartas for the party's welfare. He exhorted the BJP Karyakartas to engage in more active participation in various activities for the days to come.

 
The Vicar General of Kohima Diocese cum Rector of St Xavier Seminary, Jalukie, Reverend Father Neisalhou Carolus Kuotsu visited Sacred Heart Church in the sesquicentennial celebration of Franciscan Sisters of St Mary of the Angels (FSMA) and offered Holy Mass in Khuzama on August 2. Sr Roseyln, Superior of Sacred Heart Convent gave an introduction and welcome address. Eucharist celebration, special prayer was offered for the missionaries, faithful and FSMA in particular. Priests and nuns from different congregations and various parishes joined in the feast. 

 
The Lotha Naga Cultural Society (LNCS) elected its new executive members for the tenure of 2022-2024 on July 27 headed by Zubemo Kithan as president and Ekon Odyuo as general secretary. The newly elected executive members were blessed through prayer by Pastor A Libonthung Yanthan, Kohima Lotha Baptist Church (KLBC) on July 29 at Kohima Lotha Hoho Hi, Kezieke, Kohima.

 
The Ongpangkong Senso Telongjem Dimapur (OSTD) celebrated Tsüngremmung festival cum Academic Excellence Award function at the OSTD Treasurer’s residence in Duncan Basti on August 2. Temjenlemla Longkumer was felicitated for achieving Top-12 position in the NBSE HSLC 2022 exam. During the occasion, the union also invited all the former office bearers and executives who have served in the union during the last 50 years.
