As part of its holistic ministry, Phom Baptist Christian Association (PBCA) in collaboration with Dr Obangjungla, CMO, Longleng District Hospital and Dr I Longrizung Trust organized three-day free medical camp from May 4 to 6, 2022 at PBCA Mission Centre Nyengchingkong, Longleng. “Organizing such a programme is a sacred mission of PBCA. The objective is to reach the less privileged people who are not able to access proper health care services due to financial constraints,” PBCA stated. Patients were provided free check-ups and medicines. Altogether, 650 patients registered eye screening camp.

The Tetso Motorcycle Club conducted a felicitation ceremony on May 6 with Colonel Rajeev Sharma and Major Athul James who were invited to deliver talks and felicitate the newly elected executive committee members. Tetso Motorcycle Club shall now be led by Tongpokjang Longchari as President and Benisha R Jishing as Vice President. They will be assisted by Imsujungba Longkumer as Secretary General. 

Asst Professor Kezhokhoto Savi with teaching faculty and students while launching the month-long observance of World Environment Day on May 6 at the Kohima Law College. The KLC conducted social work by cleaning the college premises and its surroundings as part of the launching programme. On June 5, the KLC will organise a programme to encourage citizens of the state to act for the protection of the environment and also to raise awareness on the problems such as air pollution, plastic pollution, illegal wildlife trade, sustainable consumption, and food security, among others.  (Photo Courtesy: KLC Media Cell) 

Nagaland Youth Resources & Sports Advisor Er Zale Neikha laid the foundation stone of “Keyhonumi Thuzazho Zashe Tsii” at Kezocha in Kohima district on May 6. It was attended by the Keyhonumi from four villages- Viswema, Jakhama, Kidima and Kezoma.

District Health Society Zunheboto concluded four-day reproductive and child health training (ANMOL) for Community Health Officers (CHOs) and nurses of all the six blocks under Zunheboto district.  Deputy CMO, Dr K Akaho Sema stressed on the importance of keeping records to be a performing health unit and shared on the most important parameters i.e. Child immunization coverage, Antenatal Care (ANC) Post Natal Care (PNC), Routine Immunization and institutional delivery. The trainees were instructed by the District Programme Manager and Block Programme Manager (BPMs) for the entry in the ANMOL app regarding data on RCH, Eligible couple, ANC, PNC, Routine Immunization and institutional delivery.
