173 Bn CRPF, Dimapur celebrated Hindi Diwas from September 1 to 15. On the occasion, Commandant Vishnu Gautam, 173 Bn CRPF read out the message from DG CRPF Kuldeep Singh. The Commandant briefed all personnel on the importance of Hindi language as a medium of communication and laid emphasis on doing all official correspondences in Hindi language. Khensa village under Mokokchung district has successfully conducted the vaccination of all eligible population under its jurisdiction with both doses of Covishield vaccine on September 14. Around 700 eligible beneficiaries took the first dose on June 17 and 22, followed by second dose on September 9 and 14. The drive was jointly initiated and executed by Khensa Village Council, Khensa Students’ Union, the Village Community Surveillance Team comprising of ASHA, NSRLM Community Cadres and Anangwadi, and staff of Sub-Centre, Khensa under the guidance of Mokokchung District Immunization Officer, Dr Ayangla Saku and her medical team. It is worth mentioning that Khensa village is one of the large and highly populated villages to achieve 100 % vaccination in Mokokchung district. 

Under the celebration of Poshan Maah, the Child Development Project Officer’s Office, Kohima (Tribal) conducted Anemia Camp at Keyake AWC on September 13. The programme was organized in convergence with the Medical department, Sub Health Centre, Keyake, and PMMVY cell Kohima district. The resource persons were C James Ezung, CDPO Kohima (T); Kenosenu ANM Keyake Health Centre and Vimenu District Programme Assistant PMMVY. Leaflets on anemia, exclusive breastfeeding, complementary feeding, health and nutrition for pregnant and lactating, removal of social stigma associated with covid-19, SAM & MAM, PMMVY were also distributed. Anaemia screening was conducted by the Sub Health Centre Keyake team.
