Nagaland Catholic Youth Movement (NCYM) in collaboration with St Francis of Assisi Parish Lazami organised a free medical camp at Lazami Village Council hall on September 24. Dr Renthunglo Patton, Dr Angel K Elsa, Dr Ketuolelhou Vizo, Dr Khonou Mary Belho, Dr Akhrieno Teresa, Dr Kevidenu Kehie, Veronica Nriame, Psychiatric Social Worker, NHAK along with the medical staff and nurses from Lazami volunteered their services for the day. More than 400 people were examined and given free medicines prescribed by the doctors present at the medical camp.

Under the 'Meri Maati, Mera Desh' programme, door-to-door collection of soil/rice was conducted on September 24 at Kohima village under a joint initiative of the civil administration, the Village authorities and the 78 battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Zubza. Block Development Officer Kohima Sadar Celine Thol, Village Development Board (VDB) Secretary, Kohima village Noumvüzolie, and VDB members Vikepelie Dzüvichü and Ketsukuolie Pienyü were present at the programme along with inspector Baldev Raj and inspector Jimmy Singh under the overall supervision of 78 Bn CRPF Commandant Sh WR Josuah.
Livingstone Foundation International College elected new members to the students’ council for the academic year 2023-24 on September 23. The newly elected members include President:  Kato H Zhimo (B.A 3rd Semester); General Secretary: Icheel Khoirom (B.com 5th Semester); Cultural and Literary Secretary: Sentilemla (B.A 3rd semester); Games and Sports Secretary: Pechesin Kent (B.A 3rd Semester); Representative to ANSU/ DNSU: Mhasivolie Mor (B.A 1st Semester); Information and Publicity Secretary: Mhademo Odyuo(B.com 3rd semester).
Mount Tiyi College, NSS Unit organised an orientation programme for the new NSS volunteers cum celebration of NSS foundation day on September 23 in the college conference hall. Among other highlights, ‘My experience as an NSS volunteer’ was shared by Chenithung R Kithan, 5th semester followed by introduction to NSS by Rentsamo J Humtsoe, Programme Officer, Mount Tiyi College, NSS Unit.
Nagaland University Students’ Union celebrated their 30th annual fresher’s day in RCEMPA, Jotsoma on September 22. Prof Rosemary Dzuvichu was the guest speaker of the event. The Nagaland University Students’ Union, Kohima Campus, Meriema also had Wemhekhro Kapfo (Mr. Zoommax, 2023), Vihuzo Kense (Mr Kohima, 2022), and Lovi Jidoji, Team Leader & Operational Head of Miss Phek Vogue Entertainment, Nagaland, as the panel of judges. Seyiengol Viswentso and Atele Mero, both from the Department of MBA, were crowned as Mr and Miss Freshers’ 2023 respectively.
 
Nagaland University School of Engineering and Technology celebrated its 16th Fresher’s Day at the IMC HALL Dimapur on September 23. The event was graced by Imnalensa IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police Chümoukedima, as the special guest. Khriesavikho and Benjongyala were crowned as Mr and Miss Fresher’s 2023.
The Jesus Youth of Don Bosco College Kohima in collaboration with Jesus Youth Nagaland Pro-Life Ministry organised a Pro-Life Exhibition on September 22 for the students' of Don Bosco College Kohima and Don Bosco Higher Secondary School Kohima on the theme "Culture of Life." The exhibition consists of significant display of pictures and models that showcased the stages of life from conception till death, and various other displays about the sacredness of life, the evil of abortion and anti-life cultures. More than 1000 students along with teachers participated in the exhibition.
Seven Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) legislators from Nagaland including NCP Nagaland state president Vanthungo Odyuo and other frontal chiefs left Nagaland for Mumbai on September 24 for combined felicitation programme of Nagaland and Maharashtra NCP MLAs. The programme is scheduled for September 25 to 26 in Mumbai.
