Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) S Phangnon Konyak released a book entitled ‘Basics of educational research’ at Kohima College on April 17 last. The book was authored by Dr Visiezolie Yashii and published by Dimapur Publishing House. The programme was chaired by Dr Theyiesinuo Keditsu, Assistant Professor, Kohima College. Mhasiselie Theiinuo, pastor Central CRC, D’ Block Kohima invoked God’s blessings while Mhalezonuo Khruomo presented a special number.
Officer-in-charge of Fire and Emergency Services Pfütsero, Kevizelhou Chupuo and his team organised a demonstration programme on fire extinguishers at Sports Complex ground Pfütsero on April 18. Advisor for Fire & Emergency services, Home Guard & Civil Defence, S Kiusumew Yimkhiung visited Fire Station Kiphire on April 18. In his short interaction with the staff on the occasion of the Fire Service week, he greeted all personnel and encouraged them to work hard and be diligent in their duties for the upliftment of the department as well as for the welfare of the general public. Introductory programme with K Konngam Konyak, Advisor for Treasuries & Accounts, Arts and Culture was held in the Directorate of Treasuries & Accounts on April 18. Advisor Konngam Konyak encouraged the officials of the Department to be sincere at discharging the official duties irrespective of the place of posting. He totally discouraged the officials approaching Ministers/Advisors for transfer and posting to their desired place which is totally against the conduct Rules of the Government Employees, a DIPR report stated. “Being Christians one should try to live in letter and spirit to help the public and to refrain from corruptions,” he asserted. The Dimapur District Congress Committee (DDCC) along with the party workers held a silent protest the DC court junction till the DC office on April 18. The rally was organised as a part of Jai Bharat Satyagraha in solidarity with Rahul Gandhi in support of his fearless and uncompromising fight against the loot of public and national wealth by Modi-Adani nexus.
