Handloom exhibition was inaugurated by Vitsutho Nyuthe, Managing Director, NHHDC Ltd., Dimapur on April 28. Organized by the Nagaland Handloom & Handicrafts Development Corporation and sponsored by the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handlooms) Ministry of Textiles, New Delhi, the exhibition will continue till May 11. All together there are 60 participants from Assam, Manipur and from the various districts of the home state, Nagaland, exhibiting varieties of Handloom  crafted Products, stated a press release from the Project Manager, NHHDC Ltd.

The Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio inaugurated Bailey bridge over Zingki River under Kiphire district on April 28. Updating on the inaugural, the CM tweeted on Friday that ‘the distance between Pungro sub-division and Kiphire district Hq. will be reduced by 45kms and will benefit about 35,000 people living in Pungro and Kiusam areas and also villages like Mimi, Thanamir Kongka etc. on the Indo-Mynmar border.’ “I am confident the Bailey Bridge will be a catalyst in enhancing the quality of life of the people in every possible way which is in one of the remotest parts of our State. I congratulate DUDA for the initiative taken in planning and executing the project,” the CM added. (DIPR Photo)
