Under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ campaign a felicitation programme in honour of Moa Subong (Folk Artist & Padma Shri Awardee) and singing competition was organised in Nagaland University, Lumami on August 9. The event was graced by Prof Jagadish Kumar Patnaik, Vice-Chancellor as chief guest and Moa Subong (Padma Shri Awardee & Folk Artist) as the guest of honour. Moa Subong and his wife Arenla Subong performed songs during the programme. In view of 75th celebration of India’s Independence, singing competition was organised for the students. The programme was jointly organised by Nagaland University and NUSU (L).
