A free medical camp was organised by 78 Bn CRPF at Sechu-Zubza, Kohima, in collaboration with PHC Sech-Zubza, Kohima, for the residents of Sechu Zubza village on July 30. The camp aimed to provide essential healthcare services and promote health awareness among the local community. Free health consultation, health check-up, blood investigation, ECG, and distribution of medicines were offered. Over 80 persons from Sechu Village benefited from the camp. “78 Bn CRPF is committed to serving the surrounding community and improving health outcomes in rural areas,” it stated in a press release. BJP National Secretary and Prabhari for Nagaland, Anil K Anthony is currently on an official visit to Mon district and Aboi (Org) district as part of the ongoing organisational district tour of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state. He was accompanied by BJP Nagaland State president Benjamin Yepthomi, former MLA and Incharge of Mon District Khekaho Assumi, National Executive Member BJYM Arvind Damani, with other state officials and party functionaries. The visit aims to strengthen the party's grassroots presence, engage with karyakartas, and assess ongoing organisational activities in the district. Jubilee Memorial College, Mokokchung observed World Hepatitis Day 2025 on the theme, ‘Let’s Break It Down’ with an awareness-cum-screening for Hepatitis B&C programme in collaboration with Medical Department, Mokokchung. Dr Kilangwabang Pongener, Senior Medical Officer from IMDH delivered a talk on the causes, prevention, and importance of early detection of hepatitis. Rongsen Jamir, Peer Educator under the National Viral Hepatitis Control Programme, Mokokchung, shared testimony about his personal experience with hepatitis. The programme concluded with free hepatitis screening for students and staff.

 

A team of NPCC leaders met Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi at his Parliament office today. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, MP and General Secretary AICC was also in attendance. The NPCC delegation which comprised of PCC President & MP S Supongmeren Jamir, Working Presidents –Khriedi Theunuo & C Apok Jamir, Vice President Capt GK Zhimomi and General Secretary Moa Emchen had an insightful discussion with the LoP on Indo-Naga peace talks and strengthening of the party organization in the state.
The Alumni Association of the School of Agricultural Sciences (SAS), Nagaland University, held a meeting on July 29 with senior alumni from Dimapur, Kohima, and others to plan its 25th anniversary celebration. Scheduled for October 20, 2025, at the SAS Conference Hall, the meeting focused on event planning, alumni engagement, and commemorative activities. The Association expressed anticipation in celebrating the milestone occasion with the extended alumni community.
