National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP) Zunheboto observed anti-malaria month “in hard to reach areas where there are possible malaria cases and low awareness areas around the district” from June 1 to 30. Mudosayi Huire, District VBD Consultant informed that anti-malaria month is observed to create awareness about malaria and other Vector Borne Diseases. The month long activities included creating awareness on Long Lasting Insecticide Net usages, distribution of pamphlets and awareness and meetings on malaria and other Vector Borne diseases, malaria screening and distribution of first aid medicines.
