The Bright Morning Star Children Home Kohima (BMSCHK) under the auspices of IDEAL Charitable Society felicitated the successful HSLC and HSSLC candidates from the Home with K Wango Langsym, Deputy Director, Social Welfare Department as the special guest on July 5. Stating that that perseverance is very important in one’s life, Langsym said that challenges and difficulties will come but staying focused and not giving up in life no matter what the circumstances is, “will help you reach your goals.” Earlier, Watisenla Walling chaired the programme while Alenuo Angami gave a short speech.Mount Mary College celebrated the 12th Freshers Day under the theme “Unleash Your Potential” on July 5. The programme was held at Yashipokla Memorial Auditorium and commenced with the Freshers Parade. Dr C Teeya Imsong, Managing Director, MMC exhorted and encouraged the students to unleash their inherent potentials. He also introduced the Super Six Program, a special mentoring project for the Freshers who will go through a vigorous mentorship process until they graduate. M Ongmang Lakbaand and N Litina Sumi were crowned Mr and Miss Freshers 2024 respectively. Impur Christian Hospital (ICH) organized a Community Health Care drive at Chakpa Village on July 4. Altogether 112 people including Palliative patients have been given free medical treatment and medicines. Dr Aka Longchar MS, ICH, and Dr Alem Jamir, Medical Officer, ICH headed the team and coordinated by Narola Walling, Chaplain, ICH.
