The Bright Morning Star Children Home (BMSCH), Kohima in collaboration with District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) Kohima observed World Day against Child Labour at BMSCH recreational hall on June 12. Asenla Walling, Probation Officer and Alenuo, Superintendent BMSCH spoke on the occasion. They encouraged the children to be aware of their rights and law. The programme was chaired by Neivi. Ruokuo invoked God’s blessing while special number was presented by Achi.

To promote efforts to eradicate child labour, the 11 (eleven) District Child Protection Units, Department of Social Welfare under Mission Vatsalya Nagaland observed World Day against Child Labour in their respective district by organising various events such a painting competitions, awareness talk, poster campaign etc. The day was observed in Zunheboto, Mon, Wokha, Phek, Kiphire, Dimapur, Peren, Kohima, Longleng, Mokokchung and Tuensang districts.

Students of Royal Kids Residential School, Chare along with the teaching staff organised a cleanliness drive in Chare village area in Tuensang district on June 10.
