A commuter watches as two excavator clear debris on National Highway 61 (NH-02) between Merangkong and Tuli. The debris was caused by soil-cutting on a landslide-prone hill by an excavator earlier to prevent landslides and rockfalls and as part of ongoing construction works on the stretch. This section, part of the widening project to 2 lanes from Unger to Tuli (Km 185 to Km 220 of NH-61), is listed as 'On-Going Works' in the 2023-24 Annual Administrative Report of the Nagaland Public Works Department.
