To commemorate World Environment Day, Baptist High, Kohima organised a tree plantation drive in and around the school campus on June 1.
Kiphire Battalion Assam Rifles cleared the road blocked by a landslide between Khongiri village and Mimi village in Kiphire District on June 2. “The route had been impassable for four days due to heavy rains and landslides caused by Cyclone Remel, cutting off essential connectivity and supplies to the remote border villages of Kiphire District,” the AR stated in a press release. Responding to the emergency, the Assam Rifles mobilised their heavy machinery, tools, and troops to clear the debris and restore the route. The troops worked tirelessly, demonstrating exceptional dedication and resilience in overcoming the challenging conditions.
