Nagaland Building and Other Construction Workers' Welfare Board (NBOCWWB) launched documentary videos about the plight and welfare schemes of labourers on November 24 at the Conference Hall, DIPR, Kohima. While launching the videos, Chairperson, NBOCWWB, Dr Kekhrie Yhome mentioned that the Board’s job is to give as much publicity to the construction and building sectors, which according to him, are usually the least appreciated group. The Phek District Basketball Association (PDBA) supported by Nagaland Basketball Association (NBA) today conducted referee clinic cum training at D Khel Ground, Kohima village. PDBA President, Surhoneyi Soho informed that 9 trainees turned up at the referee clinic cum training programme. NBA Vice President, Medozhatuo Rutsa including officials from PDBA and NBA conducted the training programme. Later, PDBA felicitated Aggi Tunyi from Phek district, who was part of Nagaland basketball team in bagging silver medal at the recently concluded 2nd North East Olympic Games 2022.
Mutsikhoyo Yhobu (Former President NSF) has been elected as the Secretary General of the North East Students Organisation (NESO) and Ejanthung Ngullie (Former General Secretary NSF) as the coordinator.
The Chakhesang Youth Front (CYF) has welcomed the Khezha-Kuzha Tephe Sports Association (KKTSA) initiative for erecting the notice boards in all the affiliated villages/units under its jurisdiction cautioning the public for the preservation of the rich and vibrant biodiversity and in acting in accordance to the directives of the CYF. “The CYF believes that this initiative shall be a trendsetter to other Chakhesang areas as well,” according to CYF president Vezhoduyi Nakro and vice president (I/C Biodiversity Cell) Vipa Domeh.
Gorkha Students’ Union Chümoukedima District (GSUCD) met Abhinav Shivam, Deputy Commissioner, Chümoukedima and Dr Kuzonyi Wideo, ADC cum Administrator Chümoukedima Town Council on November 25. The meeting was led by Jacob Sundas, President of GSUCD and accompanied by Advisor of GSUCD Gopal Lama. GSUCD assured the Administration stating that the Gorkha Community who is known as a peace-loving community despite our poor economic background and we have been living with our neighbours peacefully since time immemorial and hence we will always maintain a cordial relationship with all communities in the future as well.
